I have a Needswings and I think it is a good price for what you get. It goes on quickly and smoothly - no making sh** that you have to invent as you go along. In an hour you're ripping up the roads with 20 more HP.
Even better, if you decide later on you want to trade in your SRT or do warranty work, it goes back on just as quickly.

I agree! The needswing intake is well worth the $$$! Especially if you are not a motörhead. I am not either and I installed this quality piece in about an hour. No issues. Rob(needswings) is great to do business with as well.....you guys who have built your own intakes, good for you, but I want proven dyno results and with the needswings intake I got that. I also ripped off a 12.7 pass to boot
I am definately happy with my descision.

I also have a needswings intake and also ran a 12.72 with just the needswings intake only. That was without DR's. I should have ran with DR's and just the intake, no doubt I would have been in the 12.6's easy. Not to knock anyone else, but no one else has been able to produce the same result at the track. In my opinion regardless of the track, hitting 12.7 is an accomplishment in itself. With just an intake mod is freaking amazing. I wouldn't have believed it myself. The best I ran without was a 13.28. The bad part is not every mod will give you this big of a difference. I was fully expecting my pulleys to drop me another .5 tenths. Some like myself didn't want to change the beautiful artwork under the hood, until a Porsche Caymen thought it could hang with me. Well it did the first time at the track. After the intake it wasn't even close. So it's up to you, money, looks, or flat out performance.

Bikecop fabbed up his own CAI for under a $100 and ran a 12.45 sec @ 111MPH - 1/4 mile run - - and this is without using his meth injection.

I'm looking forward to reading about all 1/4 mile results for the SRT'6 running at the Indy Drag races this Saturday.

Bikecop is the only one that knows if he sprayed or not on that pass. Regardless still not a pass with just an intake mod. That's what I was setting a baseline on. The tune, and MI are huge factors, but more than that was the near sea level track location. That would shed almost .2 tenths off my time. That's why I said to compare elevation, temps, humidity, to get the da. At a sea level track with DR's on the perfect day, it would be possible to hit 12.5's or low 12.6.'s on just the needswings intake. I hope someone out there does it when the ice thaws.
There is nothing magical about a intake, it is simply a pipe and a filter. There is no reason it should be more than $150 or $200 max. I bought an injen for my other car and it was $160 and injen is a HUGE company. Again, an intake is simply pipe, a few silicone connectors and a filter, nothing expensive about that.
I did not spray on that pass or on that day at all it was too cold. I did spray it and ran 12.67 earlier that month but ran 12.61 without spray, it was cold that days as well. I think it would help a lot on a day above 65-70. I think the custom tune from Inmotion helped me out the best.
I am running it again this sunday the weather report says 55 with a chance of showers in the afternoon. If it does not rain it should be a great day to try out the new mod!!!
