Default SRT6 VS. 2008 335i manual eiserman exhaust, performance tires, and also lowered

i race a slightly modded 335 with exhaust and new tires with lighter rims and it was also lowered. that car is very quick we were dead even on the launch and on a role, the only thing i was able to take him on was once we both hit around 80 mph then i slowly started pulling away. i thought the crossfire would stomp on that car considering the 335weighs hundreds of pounds more. now my friend with the 335 spent one grand on a proceed chip and we raced again, sadly i was destroyed =( -just thought i would share this little pointless story

I just checked dragtimes, those are fast. I knew they were, just not that fast

Road & Track puts the SRT6 at 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and the 1/4 in 13.3 @ 107.6mph and the 335i 0-60 in 5.0 and the 1/4 in 13.5 @ 104.5mph. Yep, that's pretty darn close.

My understanding is that those too are unrated advertised horsepower - look at how much they weigh

The 335i has the 6th speed gearbox to help their weight move along. What's awesome about turbo cars is there's no hardware to replace, just upgrade the software to make huge gains. My old 300ZX TT went nuts when I upgraded just to the JWT chip, around a 60 hp increase! My torque in the GTI 1.8t jumped 60 ft lbs. I wish our cars had a dual clutch tranny like the VW 6 speed DSG. So XFIREX, what mods have you done to your SRT so far?

Time for a pulley and CAI then race him again.

Those things gain like 75hp off a tune, no wonder you got destroyed.

Ditto.
Stock to stock, the SRT6 and 335 should be about the same. Modded to modded, should be interesting.

my srt6 is completely stock, when he had exhaust we were even with me barely winning...now he has a proceed chip with about 380 hp to the wheels, im sure if my car had a sprint booster and a needswings intake i would keep up with him easily

Sprint booster is not going to help you win.

If your looking to stay under a G, but still possibly beat him get the Needswings intake $450, Inmotion tune $350, and LET $80 phenolic spacers. You might just be able to beat him with that right there. If that fails just buy a 185mm pulley and destroy him for sure.

On a side note, get the Sprint Booster anyway, it makes the throttle response feel way better.
