I have been at 5 track events and over two dozen autocross events. (only one with the Needwings CAI) My zero to 6o time of 5 seconds statyed the same with stock vs CAI. My sero to 100 stayed the same also.
5 seconds was the best my car would do with stock intake but with a Inmotion tune. The average 0 to 60 time is 5.2 seconds. Again the CAI is a nice piece of work but the GPS device in my car states it made no difference.

The car was built for twin air intakes and in my opinion, it looks a whole lot better with two. Frankly, even if there was a slight difference between the single Needswings and the twin like the BDJ or mine, I would pick the twin. I am thinking there is no difference and would be VERY surprised if there was.

Having run both the JLT ram air intake that sits under the hood, and the JLT Cold Air Intake that sits inside the front fender on my 2004 mustang cobra, the choice of intakes on the SRT-6 was a no brainer. The difference in power between sucking hot air and cold air is HUGE. Even with the headlight removed so cold air was being pushed right into the ram air intake, it just couldn't touch the power of the cold air intake. The difference was easily noticeable even with just your butt dyno.
The Needwings intake makes a huge difference in power over stock, and the difference is easily noticeable to anyone with a pulse when riding in the car.

Blue and I usually bash each others teams, but with football season still a few months away I couldn't resist taking a jab at the film maker. It's all good. So you going to make him an offer? An offer to sixshooter that is?
I am not serious when I write these things (for people that don't know our history). Cruzins a good guy, but his momma...mmm, shes something else.
STEELERS STILL SUCK!!!

I ran a best stock time of 13.2's.....Installed the NW intake, 12.7's-12.8's all day long. That is a huge gain! I felt it immediately after installing it. The throttle response was hella better and the ECU adjusted nicely to it. So either something is wrong with your car, or you just aren't "feeling" the difference, but it's there. Trust me.
I did not mean to start any arguements. I got the Inmotion tune prior to the CAI. It has not been sent back in for any changes.
There is nothing wrong with my car. I just do not feel any difference. I have not dynoed the car so i am just baseing it on my gut and butt feel. I do not mean to offend anyone who has enjoyed the products.
Perhaps I am to analitical and judgemental. I should just hear the slight whine and be happy.

As for performance...? I cannot tell the difference. I feel no added power or pickup in any range. I know that for most the sound the intake makes may give a placebo effect on the 'butt dyno'.
I was also disappointed in the lack of supercharger whine that so many have wrote about. I barley hear the difference. That said.. It is true that before the CAI I could not hear it at all. But even now it is barley noticeable. Very little sound increase of air induction of SC Whine.
I dont want to but down Needswings and their product. There was nothing wrong with the material or engineering or instruction. I just was hoping for the roar my other autos have with their AEM intakes. I was hoping for a difference in felt power.

Can you do us all a favor and take it back a few notches? I think the 33 page thread that you have serves its purpose. I'm sure anyone in the market for a pully has been through it.
Now that the pullies are in the hands of the customers, let the PULLY do the talking.
This is my first time reading this thread. I am shocked that you felt nothing from the needswings installation. Mine added faster throttle response, higher RPM power, and sound like no other. Something is amiss......
sixshooter, are you plannign on making it up to the woodward dream cruise in august? if so id like to check out your car and we can slap our gtec on ti and do a quick before/after. i can swap the intakes out in about 10 minutes in a parkign lot
Needswings intake, (probably any intake of similiar design could result the same), took my SRT from consistent avg 107.5mph to 110.xx.mph. Fluid dynamics can prove higher airflow over the stock system with these intakes, my guess is 20hp improvement for my particular car with this intake.
Commercial GPS and GTechs are ok, but there is no substitution for a clock. Dyno results not done under tightly controled circumstances are generally useless as well. (Same car, same time, same temperature, same dyno etc...) When we are all comparing the performance of our cars, consistancy is key. Two equal cars, one at sea level and one in Denver, the sea level car will always have better numbers. When reporting performance figures, density altitude, temperature, humidity are the most relevant factors to include. This car is particularly sensitive to temperature, so the temperature of the air intake would be valuable as well. The next equalizer is MPH, preferably 1/4 mile which allows the car enough time to overcome traction losses. This can indicate performance of the car more so than the ET of a good driver. Two miles per hour and a couple tenths is significant improvement in acceleration, but NOT so easy to feel seat of the pants. At the speed of these cars, one tenth is about one car length, which again is significant in any race, especially when runnng laps. A car that doesn't show a change when adding an intake like the Needswings, probably has some other problem brewing. The blower whine isn't going to be readily apparent until higher levels of boost, giving away the secret. My tip of the day: When modding for sound...use playing cards and clothespins on the spokes.
