Default Alarm / Lock issue just got worse

So if you read my post about my first time at the drag strip the other day, I mentioned that my alarm and locks were acting up on my car. Well let me describe the issue first before I mention why it's so bad. When I drive the car, the drivers side lock does not auto lock, when I use the remote on the key to lock and unlock the door the only thing that happens is the lights blink, the doors however remain in whatever state they are in. If I set my alarm it will go off no matter what a little while after leaving the car, but it doesn't really matter since the alarm sounds like its submerged in water and shorting out. Basically unless I physically lock and unlock the drivers door using the actual key, the drivers side lock is always up, the passenger lock is always down, and the trunk is always locked. I was going to just call the dealership today and make an appointment for some time this week and just deal with it, but today driving home from work I realized I needed gas and then I realized there is no way for me to open the gas compartment. I have had a little luck with disconnecting the battery, I sometimes get a minute of the locks working correctly so I might be able to get it open. Either way, the battery is disconnected now and I am going to bed, but any information or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do another search for alarm problems. It sounds as if the alarm module is dead and/or the vacuum pump which drives the locks is dead.

Good Luck.

Thanks for digging those up for me, I somewhat searched for it but didn't really find my exact problem. The cricket on crack alarm thing has been going on with my car for a while I just always forget to mention it to the dealer while I'm there. I think I may have somehow fixed all the problems except the alarm noise being funky. I disconnected my battery a couple times over the weekend and finally after disconnecting it for about 9 hours today, the locks seem to be working. I also changed the drivers side headlight earlier and had to unplug that box with the heat syncs on it that sits right in the way of the drivers side headlight, I'm not sure what that is or if it did anything. Either way I am bringing the car to the dealer wednesday morning for the alarm and lock stuff among other things, so hopefully it starts acting up when I bring it to them. Thanks again.

Well incase anyone is interested, the dealership called me today and said that the seal around my taillight was broken so water was leaking down onto the alarm module and it was sitting in a pool of water. So they ordered a new one and hopefully it will be there tomorrow.

Honestly I was half asleep when they called, so I might have misunderstood. I will have to get an exact description when I go in to pick it up.
