Like I said, I didn't feel like this is something I would do, but had to ask. I felt I was being perhaps a bit snobbish about them, and being that it's a simple job, I though maybe it might be OK. You bring up a good point though. I wasn't too concerned about pealing, but I am about the chipping. I'm having it done at a very good shop where I've had work done before for only $57 more.

Yep, with the exception of the area behind the wheels, the paint on the bumper gets the worse abuse from road debris than any other part of the car. There’s no point in going with an unknown to save $57. Going the cheapest route now might have ended up being the most expoensive.

FP Are you quoting Silverfox here ??

I highly recommend the clear bra protection to be applied after the paint is cured.
You will never need to worry about stone chips or scuffs ever again.
Ask Andrew about these he will tell you the same I am sure.

I will agree with the Clear Bra suggestion. I have one on my SSB and will put one on the Aero when I get the little dings fixed up. You cant even tell it is on unless you look just right.

Looks better than mine FP. Mine has the bumper plugs from where the stupid dealer put the front plate on.

FP, Your grill appears to have more chrome that the OEM. Did you have M&M chrome parts of it? Or, is it just sun reflections.

No I bought the chrome grill and windshield surround and side fins from AutoXclusive almost 2 years ago.

Caveat emptor. They may do a great job for a C-note or they may not. I had to have a door repaired/repainted on my SRT6. I had estimated $600 and negotiated that off the price of the car when I bought it, but when we got into it, to do it right cost $1100. In addition, I asked them to fill and paint the license plate holes in the front bumper. It would have cost another $500 to remove, refinish, paint, and replace. I gambled and asked them to do it on the car -- stroked their egos (and that's all). 18 months later you cannot see where those holes were and the paint is perfect. And, yes, I still run bras on both my XFs.
