How its made Issue #11
Circulator Pump Wanna see inside ? Me too.
I had been troubleshooting a bug in the throttle circuit and wanted to be sure that the H/E circulator pump was not an issue.......so I replaced my stock pump with the Johnson.
The stocker has one nice feature, it has no rotation seals, as it is magnetic drive with two magnets coupling the torque to rotate the impeller.
The photos give you a simple view of the two brush motor and the impellers, yadda yadda. Whats interesting is the slime that was on the impeller and NOT ON ANYTHING ELSE. Using stock antifreeze, I would not have expected this as everything has been kept very clean and fluid was strained when reinstalled. It was fairly thick and wiped off like some sort of waxy material, all other passages were clean?
The stocker was well built and I believe that there was no impending problem, so Ill reassemble it and keep it as a good spare as needed. The black is brush carbon and you can zoom in on the various parts to see whaats zuup inside to satisfy your curiosity. Hope yall enjoy the view.

Thanks for the pics - My stocker was still running when I replaced it but with very weak flow. I could pinch off a hose with my fingers and stop the flow with no problem. The way my setup is now - I will probably stick with the CM30 or go with a pump I saw made by Meziere.
