It looks empty and crooked...now if you completely shaved that area it would look nice and clean.

Keep the strakes for sure. On aero blue that gap really stands out; I'm stumped about doing something with mine too. I'll be getting them painted flat black probably, unless you guys come up with something better. Either way I think the strakes are a necessity if the gap looks like that pic above.

I don’t think it looks that bad without but I like the strakes. Without them though, I’m envisioning the 06 SRT6 fender badge either above or below the strakes area. That area needs something there either way.

I personally like the chrome covers, but I'm just not into the black trim thing.

Steve,

I think the chrome looks awesome on your car, where you've gone chrome on everything as far as I can see. I'm sticking with the stock wheels though, and having them powdercoated with black on the sides of all the spokes and between spokes. I think that black will tie into my window tint, tires, and my grille that I painted black. I'll see how it looks without touching the strakes and windshield surround. If it's good, I won't touch it, but if the silver stands out in a bad way when the wheels go back on, they're getting painted too. Again though, the chrome looks great on your beast, but I'm staying away from too much shine; just my preference.

If you want a subtle difference with the strakes, paint them the same color as the body, in your case Aero Blue. Just anothewr variation and my 2 cents....

A change never makes the car look poor, just different. Why ask us? so your car will look just like everyone elses. WHAT DO YOU LIKE?
Also the people and most important the Person you drive these cars for is firstly Yourself and secondly all the passerbys that give you that, wow what is that guaking jaw dropped stare we have all come to enjoy.
Best Idea? Run with your own likes and dislikes. It's nice to see some veriety in our Crossfires.
Enjoy the Ride...
Mike

I think the chrome thing & the black thing is mostly a generation gap thing, but maybe not. It could be that black trim is the "in" thing, I see it a little everywhere. And not everyone has the same taste for what looks good to them.
