This morning, while crossing the causeway from the beach, a guy driving last year's Subie WRX STi came roaring up to my rear bumper. Having just got the XF back from the shop, I decided to see how the new mods came out.

He blasted by me about 80 mph and I hit the gas just as he was pulling around me. He pulled in my lane in front of me as we were going up the bridge. Didn't seem to be pulling any distance, though.

Near the top of the bridge, I blew past him in the passing lane about 120 mph or so. Looked like he was going backward.

Guess the mods work.

I had one of those guys in a heavily modified WRX STi try to race my Viper from a stop light. I was like WTF ? It was no competition

So what mods do you have for $3K ?

 

The gearing on STI's is very short in the first three gears. Past 90 though it loses a lot of steam.

Old style Subie, or one of the new 5 doors?

 

not the new one, but the one with the newer grill/front treatment.
