First time, Kicked Butt!
First time, Kicked Butt!
Ok here's how it went i got in 4 runs.
1. 2. 3. 4.
r/t .974 .274 . 226 .105
60ft 2.285 2.106 2.013 1.969
330 5.927 5.729 5.623 5.550
1/8 8.919 8.725 8.604 8.506
mph 82.38 82.13 82.29 83.21
1000 11.489 11.308 11.168 11.043
1/4 13.623 13.456 13.301 13.157
mph 106.19 105.38 105.94 106.86
I think I learned quickly and did very decent for stock
temp was 65ish and humidity 85-100%
Also another note i was runing on the crappy all season conti's but i roasted em with a 100mph bunout before each run !

Re: First time, Kicked Butt!
I had several poeple come up to me too see what i had done to the car and many were surprised how fast the the car was stock, i beat everyone i raced against also . I nearly **** my pants when i saw the 13.1, but she gripped very well and just seemed to pull harder that last run.
Re: First time, Kicked Butt!
It's all about the 60' s and outside temp with this car. I just cracked a 1.999 with my stock Conti's after 25+ runs, the track was definitely prepped well if you were pulling under a 2.0 w/ no experience.
I get the same thing as well with mine when I say I only have an intake. Also, what RPM were you launching at?

Re: First time, Kicked Butt!
That final one i used the burnout pit. inched up to the 2nd staging light held at about 1,300 ish and launched at the second yellow (.1r/t), throttle was pushed down quickly in a linear fashion it was not just mooshed down instantly. TC off. Manual mode in 1st but i let the car shift gears I know poeple say street tires dont benifit from the burnout but i call bullshit. Tires at 25 psi. Burnout consisted of going through 1st gear 2nd and when it hit 3rd i let off the brake and spun up to the line. The conti's seem stick better when you warm them up this way. Hope all these details help others!
Actually the humdity was really high that night and many were complaining about the condinsation on the track making it a little slippery. But i didn't experince that and had no way to compare.
