Default Cup Holder Failure

Anyone have any experience on fixing a the center console cup holder? Mine will not stay down and the doc's are somewhat poor about pulling the console unless you cut/remove the brake handle rubber coating. I can loosen the console...but cannot remove to view its repair because of the rubber handle. I dont like pulling too hard from the top cover...and cannot tell for sure if it comes off from the top.

Thank you

There is a TSB out on the cupholder. The dealer will fix it for free or replace it with a bin.

I've removed my brake handle on mine with a mixture of dish soap and water. Slid right off.

DJWB, The e-brake robber cover just pulls to come off. It is on there firm and I used two hands and pull straight away, in-line with the brake. It actually goes back on easier. Just pull firmly and steady. Good luck.

The cup holder on my SRT6 failed (coincidentally with the car spending 3 weeks at the dealer for the intercooler fix) and they replaced it with another cup holder although I specifically told them I preferred the pocket. Oh well. At least they've done all the other work well.
