I dunno, man. That's a really jerky thing for him to do. I only hope he sells that car quickly and becomes an embarrassment for some other owner community.

Was on a local highway yesterday and a clearly modified G35 rolled up next to me. He had a new exhaust and I believe a turbo. Anyway, we ran side by side for about 5 miles heading out of town at about 55. I blipped the throttle at one point, hitting the kick-down switch and jumped up to 70-ish. He didn't seem interested until about 2 more miles up the right lane (which I was in) began to merge into the left. He was back beside me and I heard him drop 2 gears and he pulled ahead. About a second later, I punched it from about 60 and the SRT took off. I walked up next to him and briskly went on by. Got up to about 100 and backed off. He was on my tail, but needless to say, I made the cut. I'm pretty sure it surprised him, due to how he seemed uninterested at first.

Another win for the SRT-6!

What bothers me is when I am driving on the highway last month and an SRT pulls up next to me. I am in my coupe and he starts messing with me. He started punching it and showing off the power.... he was really trying to rag me on and get me to race. Most people on the road in Mustangs have no idea what kind of power an SRT has and I can see why you want to show them. But why would this guy mess with a fellow crossfire owner and egg me on in my coupe? Another crossfire owner knows the power of an SRT and there isn't a chance in hell we could beat him. you are assuming that he is the owner...sounds like a borrowed thrill ride to me.

I've found out (at least for me) that intimidation is the best policy.
I haven't been challenged even once since I installed my hood.
Most people don't know that much about our cars to begin with. But when they see my car they really get confused, and just decide why take a chance on getting embarrassed.
I guess the easiest way to "win" a race is to back somebody down before it ever happens. Since I can't even beat a Camry, I should be happy I never get challenged, huh? LOL.

Well my story is a little different.
Today, I pulled up to the light where I get on the highway to go home. A cute gal pulls up in the other lane. She's got a coupe with obvious exhaust work and she fiddles the pedal a bit. I say OK sweetie, let us see what you got.

Pulled to first as the light changed and we made the sweeping left onto the ramp. I'm on the outside turn lane, advantage her, but she's a fair racer and lets me get even.

The moment our cars align, she goes for it. Nice exhaust tone, straight run down the ramp, shes holding her auto in lower gears. She's good.

I'm in third to redline, clutching into fourth to ..... and she's......

four car lengths ahead of me. And pulling away.

"Cathy", I said over the phone, "It's not fair." "Take your SRT and play with somebody your own size."

She just giggled and was gone.

I'm going to look for a ricer to pick on.

The officer asked her, "Ma'am do you know what you were doing?"
"Yes, But officer, he used to beat me all the time!"

The officer came over to me "when did you stop beating your wife?"

I shot back, "when she got her own SRT, sir."

That's OK, Franc.

If you were in front, you might keep looking back.
Could be hazardous.
