I was very suprised didnt think i would be seeing such great numbers. Is 0-60miles and 0-100km slightly different? If so how would i calculate 0-100 maybe add on 0.1 - 0.2?
100kph=62.137mph roughly
assuming your would continue to accelerate at the same average rate for the next 2.137mph lol your 4.55sec run is roughly 4.71 seconds to 100kph and with a pulley and intake that sounds about right.

got my toy yesterday but haven't had a chance to try it out. I am totally stock except a custom intake from AutoZone. It will be nice to have an estimate of what the car is capable of without having to take it to the track, which wife will not approve .

VERY GOOD TIMES, for so few of mods.
Make sure on your weight. Is your gas tank full? Did you add your own weight? Maybe an Exs' body in the trunk?
Just checking if your paying attention.
Your guages out put data is only as acuarate as your weight input.
I have one of these and it is in my opinion BETTER than the G-tech. Also I have seen the Cat Matrix in catalogs
for as high as $199.00. So how great of deal is that?
I have recorded a 4.19, 0-60mph but I have a lot of mods and I have not matched that again. Too much wheel spin,
need to have just the right temperature.
HAS ANYONE HAD A 0-60 TIME THAT GOOD OR IS THIS THING GOING HAYWIRE?????
Mike

Re: Nice performance meter for only $29.95
montana brought up a good point that I didn't mention regarding extra weight. I personally rounded up 3,500 to include my weight, gas, and small tool box in the back. My problem is that in order to test it and not get the cops called on me, or pulled over, I need to drive 20-30minutes away out into the sticks. NY cops have been relentless with tickets lately, my girlfriend knows first hand. 2 in 2 months.
Has anyone tried a different "correction factor" other than the factory 1.0, and proved the results?
Just curious, Steve.

Here is where I got it, a fun little toy to have and they are pretty darn accurate, i have used these accelerometers at the track several times and they are within 1/10th of second typically.
You better grab one before they sell out.
K.A.T. Matrix 3-Axis Accelerometer (Car Performance Meter) K.A.T. Inc. MATRIX
I can take a vid tomorrow if anyone wants to see it being used.
saw listed for about $150 in a magazine not too long ago. What a deal! Thanks again.

Re: Nice performance meter for only $29.95
ok i always wanted one of these so i picked one up on ebay for $32. i have a stock na roadster. i set the weight for 3500. left the rest default. i was on a slight decline so i know that helped my times a little but here's what i got:
1/4 mile:
97 mph
14.87 second
135 hp
154 hp
0-60:
6.34 second
141 hp
161 hp
There are a few things i'd like to change about this unit. i wish you can do 1 run and get both 1/4 mile times as well as 0-60. the other thing i'd like is if it would store max g forces in memory. i doubt very much i'd be rounding a turn and looking at the meter to see my max g force.

Re: Nice performance meter for only $29.95
I'd say very accurate
My track times with the Needwings intake were 1/4 mile 14.78 and 99mph with my 2004 Coupe last summer.
The best of 22 runs.
I got one of these meters last week but have not tried it yet.
I'll post the results here and use your settings for my run.

Re: Nice performance meter for only $29.95
You shouldn't have to input an accurate weight to get accurate acceleration times. The weight input is only needed for accurate calcuation of HP. Otherwise, the accelerometers in these devices use g-forces and time to determine 0-60 and 1/4 mile times - that's all they need. Xg for x.xx seconds will determine all that because weight does not factor in. For example, 3g is 3g no matter if you're in 2,000lb car or 5,000lb car. But it takes a lot more HP to sustain that 3g in a 5,000lb car than it does in a 2,000lb car, so if you want an accurate HP calculation done, you need an accurate weight.
I have a similar device, a Belltronics Vector, and it always gave me times very close to my time slips at the track, usually within a tenth of what the time slip read for a given run (yeah, I'd have the thing running at the strip).
You will notice a couple of minor differences between one of these and a track time slip, for a couple of reasons:
1. The track time slip is based off the timing lights, obviously, which means it doesn't start timing until you've broken out of BOTH staging lights so it can vary just a touch depending on whether you deep stage or not. An accelerometer starts timing the instant the vehicles moves
2. The track time slip trap speeds are calculated from the two sets of trap lights at the top end of the track - normally 20 meters or 66 feet apart. The accelerometer gives you a "trap speed" calculated at the very end of the 1/4 mile, so if you're still pulling hard in those last 20 meters the accelerometer will show a higher trap speed than the official time slip will.

Re: Nice performance meter for only $29.95
Interesting points Mike. Valk has one of these and brought it out to US41 last weekend. I didnt even think about the weight only coming into play when determining HP...wasn't really focused on it at the time...
P.S. on a side note: I was once at a drag strip (as a spectator) and saw two guys come to punches over one guy deep staging and the otehr guy thought it was poor sportsmanship, blah blah blah...needless to say, the guy who didn't deep stage lost the race, and then proceeded to get his a** whipped by the guy he picked a fight with...
all in all quite amusing

Re: Nice performance meter for only $29.95
I received mine yesterday and did some (actually only four) runs today:
1/4 mile:
95 mph
14.90 sec.
136 hp
153 hp
0-60 mph
6.64 sec.
132 hp
150 hp
I left everything on factory default and set the weight to 3500 lbs. The street was veeery slightly uphill though. And I forgot to turn the TC off. So I'll definetly will do some more runs in the next days because there should be some room for improvement.
Performance mods on my car (btw: it's an Autostick): CLK-Airbox with large Airducts and K&N-Filters, 74mm-Throttlebody - still stock exhaust and no tune/Injectors
