Oil Leak...how tight should the filter be?

Just use the MB filter wrench. Got mine from the dealer only cost $23.00. Then you can torque it proper to 25 NM. No muss no fuss....

I got the filter wrench at Napa...works good!

25 newton meters converts to 18.439025829 foot pounds of force.

A new jar of jelly requires more torque to open than that, heck, I think it requires more than 18 foot pounds to open the gas cap!
