Default Serious Code3 Pully Question!

I've been searching the whole forum for this answer but cant find it anywhere

Does the code3 pully

A. spin your supercharger faster e.g. gets it to peak RPM FASTER

or B. Constantly spin the supercharger faster then it normally would e.g. puts more stress on the supercharger AND uses more fuel.

I hope I've worded this right!!!

New pulley = more boost...about 2-3 lbs more which means spinning more for more fuel and power. A heavy foot always means less gas mileage. Taking it easy doesn't change the fuel economy.

Thanks Mimi05SRT6 you answered my question perfectly

What I ultimatly wanted to know is when I'm at the track of course I'll want the extra power, but would it affect my daily driving & fuel economy? and you've answered the perfectly thanks for that!

the c3 pulley is machined smaller so it does spin faster. this adds more boost equalling more power.
by driving conservativly you can still achieve decent fuel mileage with your car . even with a 185 crank pulley dual cai and ecu tune you can get decent mpg. the issue who wants too?!!

what you have to ask is...what is your definition of decent mpg...

cause i get 18ish in the city on a good day, and maybe 20 or 21mpg on the highway...

30mpg is decent to me though...

..but I don't complain seeing as my last SUV never hit 20mpg no matter what i did or did not do.

I've always thought a CAI will improve fuel mpg because the engine is getting more of what it needs easier.

You are correct.... In normal driving conditions, a CAI will improve fuel mileage. The problems lies with putting a CAI on an SRT.... As soon as you get it installed, your right foot automatically gets 10 lbs. heavier.

I actually saw an improvement in mileage after the cai, and after the c3, I didn't see any difference as well...but my cruising speed on the interstate is 80, and up from there....still in the high 20's.....never had a car that runs like this get anything near that mileage...
