Red face More sc questions

I know there's video of the supercharger kick in and cut off but mine seems really really in-consistant and I'm sure I'm not the only one mine seem's to kick in @ 2000 rpm not sure about cut off but it's usually not the same and it does not kick in consistantly @ 2k rpm it always seems to drift in and out on it's own also how do I know if my tensioner is really bad I have some slippage right now and have parts coming for my diy beltwrap should I replace my tensioner now or wait til I install the beltwrap?

1st I say wait for your "DIY belt wrap"...(even though "I dont have one" ) but you say belt slippage so...2nd I say your SC engagedment issues seem like the typical IC pump but you seem to have done ur homework on the threads...so I figure you have changed IC pump(if not do so).....I do notice that my pump still acts up sometimes...but I didnt get the "Johnson Pump".. just a newer Bosch one.

if you push down on your belt with your hand and the tensioner doesnt move its bad. if its jerking motion while the engine is running its bad. if the pulley bearing is grinding or making odd noises the pulley can be replaced and the tensioner kept.
be aware the plastic pulleys that are used in the diy belt wrap are prone to fail. i have had 2 fail so far 1 oem and 1 brand new with the ribs machined down. it didnt last 3 minutes before the bearing started to grind.
if you have the c3 pulley and stock crank pulley email rob at needswings and ask him to do a pulley saver setup for the c3. im hoping if enough c3 users show interest he may do 1. from what i have seen we can use the 178 setup with a different belt to compensate for the different sizes in the pullies.
