CAI questions
I've seen Needswings Single CAI and I've also seen pics of Dual CAI from the same company, but I don't see anything on their website about it. Personally if I was to do one of these mods I would want the balanced look of two pipes. What exactly are my options for CAI?

I went with the Dual CAI due to the restriction where it passes by the radiator. I also liked the more balanced look. I originally had a knock off single and I will say that the extra money for the Needs Wings is worth it in the quality and how well it fits. I have the Supercooler which sits in front of the radiator and the dual fit just like it came from the factory. Also Rob at NW is great he has always been extra helpful in answering all questions and is very easy to get ahold of. If you leave him a message he actually will return your call in a timely fashion. You can see picts of my set up under the thread finally finished mods. If you have anymore questions just ask.

Thanks, I had looked at your thread, but failed to realize you had needswing dual CAI. I'll contact them when I'm ready. What kind of gains are to be had from their dual intakes?

Anything is better than the poor flowing stock system. I was one of the first members to try a dual intake setup on the theory that the less restriction you have intake side of the SC the more boost you get on the outlet side. In this case theory translates into reality.
Waldig was the first to make a prototype by coming up with 2 silicone 90degree silicone peices and cutting them to form a Y section to merge the dual pipe setup into the throttle body. I currently use a waldig style silicone y piece for my custom dual intake and X-stream filters with great results.

thanks guys
yes we have a single and dual cai systems for both the srt6 and n/a motors now. the dual systems are not up on our website yet due to us waiting on more silicone y couplers to arrive. we have been waiting for a few months for the next batch to be custom built for us and i didnt want to get too backlogged on them. they are expected in at any time now.
here is all the details on the dual cai's

Awesome, thanks for the info. Two more questions, would it be best to go with a Supercooler first? and What kind of power are you looking at? 35hp +/- 5hp
In dyno tests I got 35 hp at the low end of the rpm curve with the dual CAI setup.
THe cooler is for operation in warm weather, at full throttle, and for extended periods. Needed for the track and all out driving.
If you need the cooler youll see it with power cutback on high inlet air temps. You can gain hp with cooler air.

Has NW or anyone else done a same day dyno to compare HP and boost gains from the single and dual CAI's. I have been thinking about switching from the single to the dual, but would like to know what gains that I could expect over the single. Thanks

Amazingly I have another question, how does this affect your mpg? I get roughly 21 mpg now.
thirteendog i would do the cooler and pump before anything else. im right across town form you and the cooler made a world of difference in the iats and s/c shutdown. in conjunction with the supercooler i added the cm30 pump separated the coolant from the i/c and added a 180 tstat . on my dyno tuning session tony will do the -10* fan mod.
after the cooling mods you can rest easy as no more s/c shutdown. then the cai pulleys and then tuning
