H&R Lowering Springs
Does anybody have experience with the H&R's on an SRT6? I've read some about the Eibachs on the suspension section and from what I gather they are softer than what the SRT-6 is equiped with. Geared to the standard car i would guess. In my experience H&Rs are usually more manly.
I applaud the SRT guys for not wimping out on the spring rates of this car and I don't want anything softer....but a 1-1.5" drop would look badass...Will the H&Rs give what I want?-Rusty

I haven't had any issues with my Eibachs...they seem just as stiff as the OEMs.
BTW: both myself and Xray have SSB SRT6's and live in Brevard County...where Melbourne is located. I had no idea there were three here (well, now two, I guess).

m3pig...thanks for your insight on your Eibachs. I wish Mopar offered a set of lowering springs for these cars. I've read that SRT ,when working out the rates on these cars, went so far as to equip the coupe and roadster with different rates front to rear to take into account the weight distribution differences between the two types. I hate to mess with that kind of attention to detail...But this car does look killer with some drop....Not to mention the lower center of gravity.
I've got H&Rs on my Mazda MX3 GS and I really like them. One cool thing I've noticed about them, and the Eibachs may be the same way, is the rear drop spec is usually a little less than the front, but in the case of my Mazda they include several "filler" coils in the rear units that can be trimmed to increase the drop allowing for fine tuning of the ride height...Also, i've been told that they supply Porsche...Which is nice to know...
Here's a few specifics on my car's history. According to the Experian report on the car it was bought new from the manufacturer at auction by Gator Chrysler Suzuki located on Nasa Blvd in Melbourne in 2007. It was sold later that year off the showroom floor, I'm told, to the previous owners who kept it until February of 2010.....When they traded it in on a Nissan Cube to Nissan of Melbourne....Excuse me I think I just puked a little...
That's where I came in...

I want to lower my car as well and have been thinking about cutting the stock springs due to the issues with aftermarket spring rates. Others on the forum have done this with success. There are a couple of threads showing how to pull the springs out, etc. Later
Well after only abot 40 miles, I can report that I like the H&Rs alot so far.
The drop is HUGE and the ride is almost the same as stock, if not slightly softer. I'll wait for them to settle out for a bit before I give a final review.
There is only about 1/2 inch of gap in the front and about 3/4 inch in the rear. I used the MB front camber bolts and the alignment came out well. ]
So far so well. I'll do a complete write up after a few hundred miles.
