srt vs bentley cont' gt speed
On the way to work this morning I ran into a gt speed. He was weaving in and out of traffic so i figured i would catch up and play. Right when I got behind him he took off. Black smoke coming out of his tail pipes and spoiler lifted. I was kind of ready and he got a two car head start. by about 130 I was making the move to pass before we slowed down. Now this was on a strech of the highway where there wasnt too many cars. And in Mexico of course. Thought some of you may like to hear how we do vs the GT Speed.
Cool. I raced one of these not long after I got my V8 in. We drag raced from a light. It was a tie. The guy couldn't believe I stayed with him.
On DragTimes, there was a stock GT speed that put down 12.51 @114, so there are a lot of SRT's here that can beat them.
The GT Speed has over 600 HP, but it takes a lot of that to push 5291 lbs of car.

Is that the car Paul Tracy drove on one of the super car shows. If so it put a hurting on the Aston Martin DBS that Tanner drove. It was suprising how quick that BIG car was.

WOW, After checking out the Bentley on Google I located the specs and then the MSRP.It made the 25K I paid for my Black SRT6 roadster seem very under priced. What a deal. No regrets. I don't even want the Bentley.

On paper our cars do well against many supercars/super luxury cars. We also have similar performance specs to the Aston Martin Vantage, many older Lambo's and Ferrari's, etc. Then again if you know any about the Jaguar XJ220 debacle you'll realize most of the people that can afford those cars have no clue about their performance and just care about being able to say things like "only 3000 made" and "hand built engine"...oh wait
For a history lesson the XJ220 was one of the most powerful V6 powered supercars ever built, even compared to today. The super rich pulled their deposits just because it didn't come with a V12 like Jag originally planned. It was still a marvel of engine performance.
