Remove resonator exhaust slk32 amg
Welcome fellow 32 owner! I am researching lowering my 32 as well, 32Krazy he is very helpful on all the questions I have had.
I am probably going to go to a 1 bump spring pad, if I can figure out which ones I have on there right now. I had the wheel off this weekend for cleaning and tried really hard to figure out where the "bumps" are without having to take the spring out, but I finally gave up lol
If going to a thinner pad for me doesn't lower it enough, I will consider 32Krazy's setup and get BG springs and customize it with the pads if it gets too low.
Sitting stock, my 32 has about a 1.5 inch wheel gap in the front and 1.75" in the rear.

Hi,
The slk32amg is in the front as well as in the back standard fitted with two dot rubber spring pad. So changing to a lower pad will not change much, as you can imagine. In the back you donot need a spring compressor, in the front it is better to use the compressor. Perhaps these links will help:
for the front axle:
Spring and Pad removal Front - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum
for the rear axle:
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ictures-4.html
Furthermore you have to realise that B&G springs, according to their info, only sells springs for the 200/230 and 320 slk. This doesnot ! include the 260kw 32amg compressor engine with a single weight of appr. 905 kilo. In fact here in Europe the Eibach prokit is not advised for the slk32amg, just check their site einbach.com. Both are for European standards to soft.
My advice (sorry) would be: AMG springs, front axle: MB part nr. A1703210104 rear axle: A1703240104, or to cut the oem springs, both will lead to same effective result, depending how much coil you cut of course.
I hope this will be of any assistance to you

Gabriël,
Nice thread so far! Lots of info. Steve has helped me a lot with my ride, and I'm running the cut SRT-6 springs. Still running stock shocks, I want to put in the Bilstein shocks soon (B8, or sport version for lowered cars) since I'm lowered roughly 35mm in front and 40mm in rear.
I will let everyone know how my car handles with the Bilstein shocks and cut SRT springs, for comparison.
Cheers,
John

The AMG shocks I mentioned in my earlier message are part of the Nürburgring Fahrwerk, which AMG definitely doesnot sell anymore, however the separate shocks are still available and in combination with the Bilstein B6 or B8 compatible with this Nürburgring Fahrwerk, but only will lower your car 2,5cm max.
In fact all the AMG springs are made by Eibach and only differ in length, commercial reasons sometimes result in various explanations
