Crossfire SRT6...the anticipated classic.
OH, there are modern day 'muscle cars" at the shows too. Not just the old cars. I was put next to a Mustang last show, and a "hemi" challenger. They couldn't believe what the cars would do. And then, the big question. Why didn't Chrysler market that car? I stated, they did....but way over priced for what it was....

Interesting. I've always thought the Crossfire was way underpriced for what it was (is), even when new. Considering that the SLK cost so much more.

Stylewise, I'm a much bigger fan of the Crossfire. I've always liked the look of the SLK 350 as well, but standing next to the Crossfire, the SLK looks like a Miata.

also yous are putting miles on it...a gem with under 50k....compaired to a modded put back to original with 150,000+ miles is a huge difference to caar collectors

I think you are talking about a clairvoyant.... not a car collector. Just what parts do you believe that the CAI and C3 are harming on my car? And, since you apparently think you know so much about my car..... Let me correct you. My car is a garage queen, that I put about 3k miles a year on. She never sees inclement weather, never has a spot of dust under the hood, and has way more maintenance done to her than is required. You can beat any car to death....... Even one with low miles, but I am very proud of the way I take car of mine and would say that there are very very few stock.... never modded...... SRTs left that look as good as mine and several other members here that have done mods to theirs. hcarter in my opinion has the most beautiful SRT on this forum, which he has tastefully modded. Anyway, to each their own, but I will still stand by the fact that the minor mods that we do to our cars will not hurt the value as long as we keep the parts to put them back to stock. But, more importantly...... I am not banking on this car for my retirement, so if it is worth 10K 20 years from now, I will not be disappointed.

great thread...lots of interesting comments. i went to my 5* chrysler dealer today to conduct some business (they've been around since the 50's, same family) and the topic of srt-6's came up with one of the owner's sons. i'm not going to quote him, but in essence he said srt-6's are a completely different car than the limited or base crossfire (not to diminish those owners on this site, so please don't take out the flame throwers). this guy's family has seen it all major/minor mopar and he speaks in reverent tones about these amg-imbued marvels. 2005 to 2011 is a long time in auto years.

As stated by the majority of qualified test drivers and experts during the entry and testing period, the Crossfire was credited with superiority over the out dated entry level Mercedes coupe! You needn't like or agree with this comment but it is the truth, which while defending the Crossfire it also shows one out of the 2 of us is informed.
