That is the "Million Dollar" Question.
I have wondered this many times...
I am still quite sure it will be hundreds of times less than that Plum Crazy Purple Hemi Cuda that is also 20 years older.

Unless you can some how put it away without carrying cost, storage and insurance etc, there is no way to profit from saving a Crossie for later.
Storing it for even one year without precautions can have you at the shop to get complicated, rare, and costly, electronics straightened out.
This is a car most popular with middle aged folks who have a few bucks to spend on a special toy but not willing to part with a quarter mil on a Lambo.
Those folks will be dead in 35 years.
Youngsters hardly noticed the Crossfire so they don't really have a hankering that will come to fruition in their Barret/Jackson years.
Only a few collectors will be wanting to "round out" their collections. Jay Leno already has one. So who's left?
Most in the NASCAR crowd do not even know what the car is.
Montana put it best.

Clearly, the Bama guy is the resident racing know-it-all (anything you tell him about racing is promptly "corrected"), and this weekend he's in hog-heaven with the Daytona 500 mere hours away...
At any rate, yesterday the five of us were talking cars, and the Crossfire and the SRT-6 came up. The Bama guy quickly dismissed it as a "car he wouldn't waste his time with, because the wimpy V-6 couldn't compete with a Chevy V-8"
.I then asked him what he drove, and he has an older Vette that runs 12.8 in the 1/4.
I simply smiled, and allowed him to continue rambling in ignorance.
One day, I pray one of you SRT guys will break his heart with a quiet mash of the throttle.
As for the collector question? Drive it and enjoy it now. In thirty years, the amount it increases in value will surely be trounced by the cost to have kept it mint. Not the best vehicle for ROI... unless you count the priceless smiles you're enjoying now.
Been into cars many years. Made a mistake in 1968 when I did not buy a 427 Shelby Cobra Ace for $6000. I did not make the same mistake with the Crossfire Srt6 rdst.. It has the same features as the Cobra. Fast two seater and the top goes down. The Crossfire handles better and the build quality is much better. Value will climb significantly. It will not take long. .
the Red SE is the most beautiful car I have seen. That can drive price. This is all my opinion. gary

I am sure there is an SRT6 in the 'bama area ready to take him on. BTW, if you have an internet connection, plenty of you tubes to look at that prove him wrong....lol

$12,000.......................just drive/mod the damn thing and enjoy it. Nobody wants them now and even less people will want them in the future.
I think it's the most bang for your buck. Name another car, that compares to it, with say 20k on the odometer that you can buy for $20k. For what ever reason, I don't think you could come close to this car for less than $25-$30k. Performance wise, in the used market, I don't think you could come close in the $30k-$35k range.
If you bought it for an investment, then you should probably seek financial help. Go on autotrader and you can buy one all day long and as long as that's the case they aren't rare.

Will there be any non-modded SRT's left by 2030? I doubt there will be many. A true gem SRT-6 will bring $1 million. Mark my word on it.
Let's revisit this thread in about 19 years.

Hello all,
Wanted to add a comment or two. I'm not a owner of a Crossfire but have been an admirer of the SRT6, until recently. I like the looks/lines of the car, but for the first time I was able to drive a very nice one owner SRT6 like new condition convertible, but needless to say I was disapointed in the ride/features of the car. It felt like I was getting deat up with all the bumps felt and along with the lower back pain only after a short time. The blind spot(s) are very bad, but could be delt with getting blind-spot mirrors (putting/keeping the top down) along with the lumbar seat and new tires for a quiet ride. We took the car on back roads and then a short stint on the freeway, very quick/fast but very loud road noise even having the top up and I kept thinking a window was down or door was open? The dealer/manager had changed his opinion of the car even after our ride and suggested that this was not a car to be used daily, but more for a weekender. I have owned many sports cars from Austins, Triumphs, a few american sports cars, but this car just does not match any I have owned and used for several years straight as a daily. I have a 2003 300m Special (older body stile but one Chrysler should have kept) and had gone there thinking I'll trade it for the crossfire, but after the drive I thanked him for his time. He really wanted to see my car for a deal, I let him look but told him I would be hard pressed to trade. He did offer a great deal for a trade without me having to do anything (could still get it for low 14K), but still my 100,000 mile Special seemed a better car. I would be using the Crossfire as my semi main car and I do own new cars (Tahoe/Acura), but to lay money out for something to enjoy for short times/rough rides/bad amentities seems not a good choice. I know many are going state compairing my "sedan" to a 2 door sports car is unfair/unjust, I do have years of expireance with sports cars, but after seeing the original window sticker of $50,000+ on ths crossfire that I would have to "fix" to suite my needs I have to say I'm sorry for those that paid the price, even in the mid $40K range. Yes, 40% mercedes, but Chrysler should have kept it 100% theirs. Yes my 300m/Tahoe/Acura/Buick/motorcycles/etc may not command the money that purchased them and may never, but maony well spent on solid vehicles with mods and those waiting on the Crossfire to bring the money will be waiting a long time.
My two cents and not meant to bash or harm anyone, only to give an outside opinion.

'40% mercedes'
Hmm........maybe you need to look closer........All Benz running gear, (AMG for the SRT6) and a body by Karmann in Germany, only thing Chrysler are the badges ...........
Firm ride maybe, but bang for the buck ..........almost impossible to beat .....but then again I'm biased ........

Again just an opinion and some write-ups I've found:

"As a general rule, most of what you can see and touch (roughly 60 percent of the total content) is American Chrysler. The other 40 percent, most of what makes it go, stop and turn, is German Mercedes-Benz"
