Default CPS issue again? Maybe

A few months ago before I put the crossfire away for winter I had the CPS replaced due to a small rough idle and a occasional stall. Everything was back to normal after it was replaced and the car ran great. I took the car out a few times when the weather was very nice out and when I drove the car aggressively immediately after slowing down to a stop the car would idle very rough and throw a check engine light. I would turn the car off and restart it and it would run like normal again but the code would stay. The only code the car threw was a cylinder misfire. I changed out the plugs and wires and took the car out for a spin to see if it would run into the problem. The 1st day post change it did not but then the next day the same old issue occurs. Should I change out the CPS again? Vacuum leak? Fuel filter? Any advice would be great.
I'm hoping to get this figured out before I throw the code 3 pulley on and then get tuned by Eurocharged in the next month or so.

If you didn't change the CPS yourself, check around the throttle body for leaks, this would include the hoses for the PCV system. Then put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail and check that. Should be about 56 psi running. Also re-torque your manifold bolts and check the 4 clamps at the back of the engine, these are known to leak air also.

Air leaks and/or low fuel pressure can cause a lean missfire.

Thanks for the good ideas, I did not install the cps myself as I did not have the correct tools at that time. I will check around for leaks and re torque the bolts before I move onto the fuel system. I also ordered a bosch CPS just for the hell of it to see if maybe the autozone one I bought went bad. Thanks for chiming in and the good ideas tunaglove.

Did you get the codes read when you got the CEL?? If the CPS is the problem it should be showing a P0335 code.....

I did not get the codes read again, the times when I did get it checked it would say cylinder 3 misfire (cant remember the exact code).

Check these basics, then write down and clear the code. The code number would help troubleshoot.

I resolved the issue! It was the CPS, the CPS that was faulty was from autozone and when I compared it to the bosch one I replaced it with, the autozone one was slightly longer and due to that it most likely gave inaccurate readings.
