Default Is this normal after a tune?

Just had the new SRT tuned by Clint & Jerry @ Eurocharged, they are some of the nicest guys I've spoken to, they did the tune for me from there homes.

As usual after the tune it decided to rain heavily but it definatly feels alot faster, I've carried over all the mods from my sig from the old SRT.

Now after some hard driving when I parked in the garage this is what happend....

It could be normal I'm not sure but what do you guys think?

Nope it is not normal. Contact Jerry. He can likely fix it remotely if you have the cable and a laptop. Or tell you what sensor is failing.
My personal experience with Eurocharged is they will follow up agressively.

I have a tune and it never did that. My instinct is to hit the accelerator up to 3000 rpm's to unstick it even though there is a high probability that is not the issue. Does it do that when you have it in drive?

I did give it a few revs to try and get it to calm down but no luck.

Yes you guys are right Eurocharged will no doubt fix it if it continues they are great, I've used both InMotion and Eurocharged and I truly believe there is only one choice, but thats just my opinion

They did the tune via remote cable so thats not a problem, My only thoughts are that because I transfered all my mods over and did the tune in one hit maybe it will take some time for the car to adjust and learn everything?

I just took it for a normal drive, came back and its fine. This is only happening after driving the car very aggresivly.

I'll keep you guys posted as to how it pans out.

John.

Maybe Jerry forgot to factor in the Southern Hemisphere Coreolis Effect in your tune. Mine revs faster than stock at initial startup now after the tune, but quickly dies down to normal idle. Maybe your ECU was just relearning and settling in? They will definitely make it right for you.

Wow, that is strange...The car just wants to take off on you with that new tune. Good luck and keep us posted.

when you swapped all your mods did you knock off a vacuum line? mine did the same thing after installing the oil catch can. the cause was reusing the cork gaskets from rob. big no-no! they are 1 time use. ordered new cork gaskets from rob installed them and the high idle disappeared never to return!

I was going to guess that when you boosted you somehow, somewhere got a leak. Be it a hose that fell off or a manifold gasket, Y pipe connection etc. I'd go over all the obvious possibilities because if that's the problem tweaking the tune won't fix it. Did you get an error code you can read?

I experienced something similar. It was a weird/ rough idle. It could be related to something else but it has gotten better. It seems as if the car adapted to the new tune. Either way, contact Jerry, those guys are great.

Apologies, don't mean to hijack the thread. I've had my SRT-6 for a little over a week now and I'm still learning about the car. This thread brought up a question in my mind. Is the AMG engine drive by wire or does it use a mechanical throttle linkage? Just curious, no particular bias for either method.

Wire........ No cable or linkage in sight.

Now that is confidence right there....I take it you didn't open the hood, and take the engine cover off when you purchasing....this car is full of sensors, and things can go very wrong...it has a mind of it's own...and sometimes my friend, she loses her mind and does strange things...happy reading thru all the threads, because you are going to have a lot of questions in time to come...

Shouldn't be reving like that, so, if you haven't done anything around the motor lately, I would ask Jerry...but if you have, I would retrace your steps to see if a hose is off somewhere....

This also happened to me, but I got the Po505 code (idle system malfunction).

Our boy "Joey" goes everywhere w/ us except when we take the 6. He's not a big fan of the Crossfire, lol. But I'm thinking maybe this summer taking the passenger seat out so we can ride in our local parade, for laughs.(Roadster would be much better fit!) Oh..... he's 39"@the withers and 191#. Back on topic... please let us know what the mysterious high idle turns out to be. I still think it's the counter clockwise coreolis you have down under.

Without a throttle body connected you wont get an idle that high, it will spurt up n down but not run at a high idle like that. THat is electronic. Woody
