Default Transmission fluid change

I have decided to do this. car is at 46k miles and if ive read correctly, it should be done around 40k. Is this correct? Any pointers from people who have done this? i was thinking about taking it somewhere, but there are way too many horror stories out there and if its not too diffcult, i rather do it myself. Thanks

I thought it was 80k but I may be confused with kilometers,,,,,,,,,,,,,50,000 miles = 80,000 km.

It is "recommeded", by some (self included), to do around 40k miles. It wasn't too messy for me... Also, if you haven't changed your connector out, this is a perfect time to do it.

Blast Chamber, that is a good link. Have you confirmed that those parts are correct for the Crossfire? The link is for the Sprinter. Same transmission?

The Sprinter and Crossfire do share the same 5-speed automatic. I bought my parts from that same online link when I changed tranny fluid last year and had no problems.

yeah if you buy fluid from Chrysler, their quart says Crossfire/Sprinter Fluid. I bought latest Merc fluid from Benz dealership, that has latest additives and agents for ware and performance.
