Throttle Issues???
About a week ago my SRT6 started to rough idle and then would go into what i guess is limp mode - throttle would significantly hesitate or not kick in until the gas pedal was completely pressed. A few hours later the check engine light came on. Took it to the dealer (still under extended warranty) who said they were showing a code for a bad throttle position sensor and pedal sensor (might be getting the terminology wrong). They replaced the parts ... same problem happened. In a call to Chrysler STARS [mechanic tech support], they were told to replace the PCM, which showed me they really didn't know what was wrong. It didn't fix the problem, obviously. Finally, in what seemed to be an effort to build me a new engine I suppose, they replaced the throttle body. You guessed it - that didn't work either.
While I can appreciate the "replace 'til its fixed" philosophy, I was hoping I could get more answers from this board, as I have read some very helpful posts here in the past. I'm thinking there are a number of reasons why the car would go into limp mode. I have also read the threads about the crankshaft position sensor, which has not yet been shown to be an issue on my car.
My question is - Has anyone had a similar problem and how did they resolve it? Do you know of a common crossfire failed component that has caused a similar problem, aside from the ones mentioned above?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Thanks for the quick reply. I read about IC pump issues here. I thought the symptoms were more of under acceleration than simply not being able to move faster than idle until the pedal is completely pressed. Could be wrong though. I'll have it checked.
Yes, some codes would def help. Have Autozone read them if you need to. The CPS is def a possibility with those symptons. But without codes, we are just throwing darts.
I should have added this to my post. The tech's notes say "P0122 apps signal circuit low." He then said that he found the "app signal" was dropping out on test drive, causing limp mode.

Pgs 9-99 to 9-104 for the troubleshooting procedure
They already changed the 2 components, so the wiring check is next. I would think that they did that already though...

Ok. Looking at the manual makes some sense of the issue now. But, it seems like all the steps were followed, parts changed out, and they did note that they checked the wiring too.
The manual says "engine will only idle if brake pedal is pressed or failed," but this doesn't happen. The engine does idle even if the brake pedal isn't pressed.
Sounds like they'll have to check again for an open circuit or short.
Thanks for the help so far. Its shed some light on the problem for me.
