8 works for me. Some here say 8.5. But I think they have leaks!

My husband taught me to run the old stuff through a coffee filter and then top it off until the dipstick reads full. I usually only have to add 1/2 a quart or so. Much greener for the environment.

Read the manual. It's 8.5. That's what came out of mine and what went back in. No leaks, no consumption and both the stick and electronic reader indicated it was spot on.

That oil has been through a filter umpteen times, a coffee filter alone will not do much good.

Your best bet is to put all the oil through a coffee maker using a medium ground dark roasted Columbian bean.

It makes the oil darker and it smells a lot nicer. The main benefit being it perks the engine up.

Really, I hope you are joking? You are not changing your oil, you are not doing any thing that the oil filter already does. Do you change the filter or did your Hubby tell you to just rinse it off?

I know Mobile 1 is amazing stuff, they claim it is good for 15 K, but how many miles can you push it before an engine replacement?

I follow the factory specifications:
8 Liters = 8.45 quarts
Never experienced any leaks
