Default Removing the hood liner

I have noticed that the hood liner is starting to rub the front part on the bezel over the super charger. Does anyone think there would be issues if I simply removed the liner?

Smile Re: Removing the hood liner

no issue had mine off for a couple of years. It is just there to cut down on engine noise. I removed the hood and painted underside flat black

Mine is as well right on the pulley it looks like, as well as the intake manifolds, I think ill have to take mine off as well as long as no problems arrive

I replaced mine with this one:

Aircraft firewall material hood liner pad for Mustang, Corvette, Grand National, many other cars: ORDER YOUR HOODLINER HERE!!

The original was rubbing on my airbox and difficult to keep clean...this one is thinner and fits much tighter on the hood since you use adhesive to hold it on and not rely on just the little buttons.

If the forum will ever let me post pictures again, I will put some up of it.

I also replaced mine with one purchased from web site above.
I also helped Jediracer and Ichon replace theirs. You will have to remove hood to install, so 2 people is a must for removal.
Sorry tried to add picture did not work I do have a couple of hoodliner in my gallery if you want to see.
