Exhaust popping noise

Exhaust popping noise

Ive just notice a small popping noise coming from the exhaut which occurs when the revs come down ,just notice today when i parked and give a few steps on the gas when the revs come down i could listen a few pops,is this normal?

Yes, it's normal when you're in park.

Thanks Robby ,i wasnt sure Srt 6 only have 20k miles so shouldnt need a new yet but you never know!

A decelerating engine needs little to no fuel.. popping through the exhaust is the excess fuel burning.

Some cars design the popping in by letting in a little bit of fuel during deceleration. Neon SRT-4 does it all the time unless you tune it out with an engine management systems like the AEM EMS.
