Default Where to put PCV breather hose on CAI

I'm builiding my homemade CAI today. Trying to figure out how I'm going to make a PCV nipple. Easiest way would be simply threading a fitting in my hard pipe. Would probably disrupt the airflow a little from the thread sticking out in the pipe. I guess the best way would be tig on a small pipe, problem is I don't have a welder in my garage. Any suggestions... Could I vent the PCV with one of those PCV conical filter or would that not be good for the motor. I know putting a vacuum on the crankcase helps ring seal.

I routed a hose to the front and put the fitting right behind the radiator support. Figured it would give the hot blow-by time to mix and cool.

You could drill a hole and then bond-glue a ftting to the outside of the pipe if the internal threading bugs you. You could also look at electrical fittings for EMT (electrical metal tubing) and find a fitting that you put inside the tube and have the threads sticking on the outside of the tubing. Add the jamb nut to the exterior and its secure, now the tubing can be fitted with some creativity OVER the threaded end of the connector. Glide along the shelves at LOWES and your find many options that may stir your juices. Woody Enjoy.

I bought the Spectre aluminum piece from Advanced Auto or Autozone that came with the bung already. You can see it in the link below. Then I used Silcone connectors and other aluminum pieces to create my own NealsWings intake. Car's been running great with it.

Thanks guys. Got it done and posted new thread. Neal, I used a couple of Spectre pieces but not the pipe you mentioned. I did see it in stock. I had already sourced the main pipe and silicone from siliconeintakes.com. Ended up drilling a hole for a grommet I found that matched the one in the original intake. Just ran new hose from valve cover to the grommet and used the factory end I pulled off the original hose. Couldn't find a K&N conical, so ended up using a huge Spectre intake. Cannot believe I got the grill on. Required bending the power steering lines slightly. I'm more inclined toward performance rather than looks. No one will be looking under the hood but me. Not the quality of Needswings but I would think I got nearly the performance. The bottleneck is through the core support as the hose compresses. Not much you can do about that. I guess that is where the dual intake has the advantage. I still think given the 3" true size of the single, I'll get the performance I want.
