Default IAT Sensor placement

I have did a search but didn't find my answer. Will IAT sensor placement affect performance? I have a custom dual intake an I placed my sensor upstream midway of my driverside intake tube and wrapped the wiring with heat wrap. The car
r is more responsive with better midrange any downside to moving the sensor from the stock location since it see a lot of heat there.

I'd wager you'll be cleaning the exhaust tips a little more.. since it's not the "true temp" of the air the maps are set up for. But what do I know.. put it inside with the ac .. Those "POS Performance chips" basically do the same thing..

Edit.. Hey Jen.. good to see you again.. How'd that compression test turn out?

'She' is a troll, read the posts with her name on. Most of them lead you to another site.

Boost tap on one side - IAT tap on the other

That is if you want to know what the ECU is seeing.....
