IAT Sensor placement
I have did a search but didn't find my answer. Will IAT sensor placement affect performance? I have a custom dual intake an I placed my sensor upstream midway of my driverside intake tube and wrapped the wiring with heat wrap.The car
r is more responsive with better midrange any downside to moving the sensor from the stock location since it see a lot of heat there.

I'd wager you'll be cleaning the exhaust tips a little more.. since it's not the "true temp" of the air the maps are set up for. But what do I know.. put it inside with the ac ..
Those "POS Performance chips" basically do the same thing..

Boost tap on one side - IAT tap on the other
