thank you for the input ...i do understand the siren can go bad but will a bad siren cause the lights and door locks to activate?
I can't remember about the locks but the lights flash when the alarm goes off. If it is in the garage I would suggest leaving it unlocked to stop the siren. Note: if it is locked and you unlock it with the FOB it will lock again in a few minutes if you don't open the door, so make sure to open the door to keep it unlocked. I left mine unlocked for a few days and had no problems with the siren while I waited for the part to come in and time to install it.
The air pump/security module in the trunk under the foam on the passenger side has caused problems when it has got wet due to a trunk leak. This pump is an integral part of the security system, as it arms the alarm system.
Pull up the trunk carpet and peer down the back of the foam and look for water in the well. Look for signs of water in the trunk while you are at it.

1, It's coming from the rubber boots that cover the wires and hoses going into the hatch, They are at the top of the hatch door.
2, It's coming in around the screws that hold the wing on.
3, it's coming under the panel that the wing bolts to.
4, It's coming in the gas cap area.
5, ?

Not sure but when I pulled fuse # 9 to stop the alarm siren the parking lights flashed on and off. I ended up putting it back in to turn them off - might be worth checking to see if it is blown.
