You might try improving your reading comprehension in the future. Thus far your complete lack thereof is making you look like an idiot. IF that is not the case, then you should endeavor to pay closer attention.

I only stated that the comment, "yeah well I'm faster in the twisties!" is a ricer comment. I then stated I have no interest in road racing. Nowhere did I state that road racing has ANY correlation to ricerdom. That, my good sir, came from only your mouth, not mine.

Since when is "for your sake, I hope not" a threat?? Rest assured, that it is not. As a side note, making threats is silly. If an argument ever escalates to that point, it is best to simply extricate oneself. Rather I was hoping you were above such things as making ricerish statements.

IMO cylinder count has nothing to do with being a ricer. Rather it's the attitude of the driver. Trust me when I say I know a lot more ricer vette owners than I do civic ricers. In fact I've only come across one ricer in a civic, the rest have been great gearheads and some with some astoundingly fast 4bangers.

Now The burn out, regardless of iteration, occurs before you stage. The last time I checked, the definition of burnout did not include a time reference. A quick spin of street tires still qualifies as a "burn out." (at least IMO) The only difference between a quick spin and heating up a set of DRs or slicks is the time spent spinning. (Also Dunlop direzza star spec z1s are a street tire that takes a liking to a long burnout. But i will agree that most true street tires do not.)

As to the reference of road racing and being a good driver? No where did I say that I was a good driver. I'm not. But I damn sure am better than car and driver's "pro" driver is at cutting a good 60' time and that is the ONLY thing I'm referring to, which is also the most critical part of a quarter mile run.

GTO runnin' 12.2s last night at BIR. All season tires to boot.

 

Man, that's... blistering.

Naturally I'm giving this guy a rough welcome. I think I speak for the majority of us when I say that we all respect nearly any vehicle as long as it's tastefully modded. Any brand has its share of douchebags behind the wheel, and sadly there's no cure for that.

My beef with Yota was that he came over here telling us how disappointed he was, and proceded to write a condescending novel telling us to all just get along. I then pop over to the thread he's defending and see him spouting all sorts of nonsense... "dog taking a ****"... "skull-f*cking a Crossfire", etc.

It was at that point he lost all credibility with me. He could have years of racing experience and sleep in Nomex underwear, and I still would not have any respect for him because of the two-faced behavior he exhibited. We don't owe you a damn thing, Yota, let alone an explanation or an apology for expressing opinions on OUR forum between respected members. You come on here, bringing nothing to the table but an instigation.

Everyone knows that there are freaky-fast iterations of any make. There are Novas with V-8 conversions, Fieros with Corvette motors, Crossfires with SL55 motors. Each brand has it's own forum "big boy" that would presumably mop the floor with the "opposition". We all know this.

To me, the GTO looks like a Grand-Prix on a high sodium diet. Big, soft styling, boring. They don't turn heads on the road, regardless of 12-second time slips. Or 8-second time slips.

At this point this thread is rather worthless, but I'm sure that won't preven Yota from coming back with his "factual" rebuttal stating what a sensible man he is, laden with snide jabs and spelling errors.

We had our laugh at the GTO thread, and I'm still chuckling. But this horse is dead.

 

I was impressed! For reference two GT500s on drag radials where only hitting 11.8s last night.

 

Normally I overlook errors like that but when dude comes all full frontal douchebag over here I like to have fun with it.

How is this Cobra talk even relevant to this conversation? Unless you are saying the 04 GTO is similar in performance to a 03 Cobra? And if you believe that you are a flipping retard. A 3800lb pig with 350hp and 290 to the wheels will be a high 13 second car. Put your fan boi ego to the side and please search in your head and use that tiny bit of common sense you possibly have left.

My first post here was and still is sincere. I intentionally posted some smack talk on the GTO site knowing members here (specifically "the beep") would read it. My intention was to get under the skin of him/her specifically. Well as it would seem I got under EVERYONE'S skin. Realistically it should have been water off of you all's back, at least in my opinion.
