Default The 6 is being a PITA :(

So after all that work replacing the IC pump and washer reservior, the SC still isn't working.

I'm just going to bring the thing down to Jerry (EC) and pay him to figure it out.
I'll ask him to install the oil catch can as that appears to be a PITA as well.

I'm sick as a dog and just paid a $250 speeding ticket so if I sound a little grumpy, there's good cause.

Thank you for allowing me to vent.

This is very similar to the issue I had when I first purchased my SRT. You should check the ambient temp sensor. Mine was faulty. It showed correctly in the cabin, but was sending the ECU that it was -36 outside, which made the computer add fuel to keep operating temp appropriate...well when it is 80+ outside, that leads to the S/C overhearting.

It is like a $10 part or something like that and it simple to replace. I don't have the part number off hand here at work, but I'm sure you can find it...or just call the dealer and see what they want to charge you get you a new one.

How did you find the -36*F ? OBDII?
I thought the IAT sensor in the Y-pipe controlled fuel/advance.

I just got back from EC and Jerry verified the SC was turning on by unplugging the clutch (clever).

He gave the car a tune and I like the throttle response now but after driving home, it just doesn't have the hair-raising power that it used to have.

I'm wondering if something could be blocking the air intake or maybe the SC clutch is slipping or something???

The car has 11K miles so it sat in storage a lot.

What kind of RWHP and Torque are you getting? Is the A/F correct? If all those things are good it is not the air intake.

Brian , did you burp/bleed the supercharger intercooler circuit by pinching the hose, like we discussed, after installing the pump ?
You may have air in the system which needs to be purged ..........

Unplug your Ambient temp sensor from the driver's side lower louvre. Then go check the cabin, it will read one of two things...either -36 or 136 ( or something like that). That is how I found it. The IAT sensor does control fuel/advance, but one parameter is also knowing what the ambient temperature is.

This is also about keeping the whole engine from being well below operating temperature, which is what would happen if the outside temp really was -36.

Yah, I've done that a few times but never saw any air burp out. When I replaced the pump, no coolant came out which seemed weird.

I'm not sure I should drive this to Dallas until it gets figured out.

It hasn't got a needswings coolant isolator setup has it ? ...............in which case you'd need to let the coolant back into the IC circuit before topping up, and closing the isolation valves again

The Louvre is in Paris.

I think he means lower front driver side grille.

I think it's ironed out.
1 of the problems was the w/s switch was in the w position. Reading up on that it appears the car will start off in 2nd gear and won't downshift as easily.

Not the best scenerio when trying to go fast.

Btw, hat's off to Jerry at Eurocharged. That tune was worth every penny.

Meh, you say potato; I say octopus. Same difference.

Yes, the lower driver's side grill.
