I can.t speek for Doc but I can tell you that if the driver would just scrub off a few MPH I would not even stop him!!! lol. Traffic enforcement is for the most part at the officers discretion. If they tell you otherwise they are full of crap. I am a strong believer in courtesy notices unless the driver has no DL or numerous suspensions on their DL. Those are the drivers that are a true burden on the system. IMO

Every ticket I have gotten was in a county or state that depended heavily on the revenue from them and are well known for speed traps. This over time has given traffic cops a bad name in my opinion. I bet if they did not profit from speeding tickets the number of ones given out would drop in 1/2. Never get a courtesy notice no matter how nice I am . The last ticket I got was in one of those county's even my lawyer agreed with me that it was such a small county the only revenue they get is from the small stretch of highway they cover so the judge was going to take me for a loop. I did not get any points taken away from my licence but it cost me $3000 for 2 tickets. But anyway I ramble :P

Okay, I'm going to violate the "code" and tell you civilians a secret: Sometimes we (cops) follow you just to mess with your head!

Thanks for the tip, so I'm going to violate the code of the doughnut shop employees, they often spit in your coffee and doughnuts.

Dave, I would drive very carefully, and slowly, the next time you cruise through Tuscaloosa, AL!

I know I will...

Yeah, since our Krispy Kreme got leveled by last year's tornado, we've had a lot more time to write tickets!

Oh, one more thing about driving in Tuscaloosa, DO NOT show any overt signs that you support LSU. That is something best kept between you and your creator!

LOL Doc I guess there are some that think this is our first day on the job. Never Ever order anything in a drive through window in a patrol car and yes I will pick out my own donut (not that I have a donut that often) and watch and or fix my own cup of coffee.

Amen to that! In an earlier life, I did a stint in the food service industry. I know how nasty things can get in a kitchen on a GOOD day, much less if some jerk has a bone to pick. I'm fortunate in that I live close enough to my precinct to be able to go home for meals...that's not to say my "ex" might not have been spitting in my food all along...

Thats too funny about the ex. I also work near where I live. The problem is that I have to be careful when Im off. Not to mention my personal car stands out as well. The local DD gave me a magnetic cup of coffee to go on my car. would up-load a photo if I knew how to. I keep it on the divider between the AR and the 870 when I dont put it on the trunk...BTW Doc, your tag still makes me laugh Please bring that to Florida and see how many hits teletype has......

I've seen several good tags in our area:
"NEG 28"
"NCICNEG"
"TENZERO"

The last one, I'm sure, turned out to be a BAD idea.

Oh No!!! Doc had them beat. His ten code tag in Indy meant something completely different in Florida. He was advertising that his car or tag was STOLEN......now thats funny. Big Kid. Howard and I have fond memories from Tn. and the paper to prove it!!
