Default Finished first Oil Change with liquid extractor

I gotta say, I am now quite a fan of doing my oil changes via liquid extraction. I do understand, however, every few times it is a good idea to go old school and get under the car due to potential sludge build up.

I did it with a manual $3 Walmart hand pump, but that literally took 6 hours to drizzle out the oil. Going to be investing in a power tools attacment for liquid extractor attachment next time.

I'd probably recommend this for those who would like to save half the cost of their oil changes doing it themselves in a simple non-messy solution.

Just so that we are safe, my Mann filter had one medium size O-Ring I couldn't quite find a place for - extra right?

Yes, there's always an extra.

I don't think there's any harm in the pump method, as long as you do the conventional method every third time. I'm all for saving time and limiting filth

I agree, as long as you crawl under it occassionally to check everything out its awesome with the fluid evacuators.... Mine is the Mityvac 7201, took ~10 minutes start to finish and poured in pretty damn close to 8.5qt's......

Sorry I'm not familiar with this method, is it literally just sucking the old oil out? Where is the filter located that you don't need to get under the car to change it?

First oil change coming up in 2k miles!

I change oil and filter in 10 minutes with my pneumatic extractor. There is little residue and no sludge. This due to Mobile 1. I use nothing else. Gary

I use a large volume HT MOTO extractor. I can get 2 oil changes into one receptical. Takes about 15 minutes start to finish. Love it.
