The Srt Tour is making a stop in Pelham Alabama, just shy of Birmingham on September 16th, This is the same day Alscca will be holding an Autocross event. It will be both an Autocross and Small car show. Anybody else with a Srt want to show up, BlackSrt and I will be there in both of our's

Anybody intrested in joining?

 

Sounds interesting. What is the schedule of events? Is this just a show, or is there any track time involved?

 

If you look at the drivesrt.com website, click on tour and go down the page about 2/3rds of the way down, on the right hand side of the page you will see some instagram thumbnail photos. 4 of the pictures are from our meeting with the SRT crew in Reno during CAA#3. It really surprised them to see 10 cars roll up to their tent, and was a nice little bonus for us to get a great photo op with them.

The SRT tour is 3 cars and a Grand Cherokee going around the country to various racing venues showing people what they are capable in stock form. I believe they allow people to drive the cars on courses, although I doubt unsupervised while driving. Brand new rides and they are already putting tons of miles on them. Nice group of people as well.

 

It is both a Show and Autocross, not a Track day like Road Atlanta or Barbers.

 

I think the wife is working a wedding that day, I may try to swing down

 

I should get me one of them '6 things and join the fun...

Or I could just strap the ironing board (that I never use) to the car and no one would know...

 

If we get multiple Crossfire's wanting to go Im sure I could get us our own class to race and work as a group. Just let me know guys

 

If I attend, I won't race as I have to preserve my rubber for two upcoming events... the 1/2 mile airport race and the Dragon two weeks later.

This is all assuming my car likes its brand-new MAP sensor being installed this week

While certainly not my first choice, I prefer a used car salesman over repeating 4 years of failed policy and Alinsky politics. That's all

Do you have to register in advance for the car show ?

 

Its not a true car show, the Srt Drive tour just has their Srt cars come to the autocross for show and then hopefully we can get some crossfires to join them

 

Not me.....I only go to states where the average IQ is in double digits....

Yea, I can understand that.
Most of Florida IS in double digits, whereas Alabama averages in the triple digits .....

 

Same as Oklahoma! But we don't count the one past the decimal point..

 

So I found out this is going to be a small stop for the Srt tour, only 4 Srt cars will be in Pelham, not counting our 3 crossfires. If anyone is intrested your still welcome to join but it will just be a small autocross

 

Well, I'd be happy to be there, but I would probably just be the red-headed step child with my puny N/A Roadster ...

What time are you and Carville going ? I could meet you in Clanton and caravan from there .....

 

I have to look at the map to see where clanton is. But we usually get to Pelham at 750 and grab breakfast
