Default Needwings Dual CAI

Does anyone know how to remove the 2 radiator pass-through parts?
What tool is needed to remove the "clips"? One of them on the passenger side is inaccessable.
Is there only one "clip" on the drivers side?
How do they come out without removing the front bumper?
Thx.

just did that today. the pass side i used a pair of side cutters and just lift the outer head up and it comes right out
the other one you can push the inner half of the clip out from the inside. the drivers side only had one fastner in it.
used side cutters on that one also.
imho this is the hardest part of the whole job. got her done today also put in ps cooler and relocated horns

It's done (almost) after 6hrs and a laptop that crashed onto the cement floor.

I still need to get some ps fluid from Chrysler so the test drive will have to wait.
It looks good though.

The BEST reason to have ANY set of the factory service manuals... Unless you get free laptop repairs/parts!

I've found a printer works pretty good too... And if you spill oil all over it.. your can easily replace!

I salute you for getting it apart without breaking something. I just ripped out the passenger side plastic what ever you call it with the hidden push pin. I wanted to be able to go back to stock, if necessary, but you know what ...... never going back.

That's the point for me. The car will be very collectable (someday) and I saved every little clip and cover so it can be completely put back to stock.

Also, I called Chrsler and they are recommending a different PS fluid. Didn't get the name but it only costs $11.50.

Be careful what you put in the car. Chrysler will tell you anything that may make them a parts sale down the road. If the fluid tears anything up it'll be huge $'s to replace/repair and I am sure chrysler will not pay for it. Just my observation...

A pint is all it required.
I was careful to cap all the lines initally but when I added the rubber hose sections, I didn't cap the ends further downstream and the reservior drained out the front of the car and all over the floor.

DOH!

I wish this would be the case but I highly doubt it since there is so little demand for the model and depreciation speaks for itself. For example Evo IX which was made just in 06' has barely lost any value and demand for them is insane since they have many improvements over the Evo VIII

Depreciation? What depreciation? I bought it for $21 and I'm pretty sure I could sell it for $21.

Now for someone that paid $55 in 2005? Yah, there's some depreciation there.

My point is if I ever parted with it (when they pry it from my cold dead fingers), the next owner would appreciate having everything there to put back to stock.
