Spoiler is stuck in the up position
We just joined and own a crossfire but do not what ‘type’ we have.
can you help?
and feel free to add this vin number to the data base..
Thanks for any help.
Roy
sorry if I did this wrong, buy new to all this..
You've heard the old axiom, I've got good news and bad news, well here goes.....
You've landed in the wrong section of the forum, since you own a 2005 Crossfire Limited Aero Blue Roadster. These cars are extremely sensitive to any loss in battery voltage and other electronic maladies. The question is, how OLD is the battery in your car? If it's more than 3 years old, it's time to buy a new battery. When you install the new battery, the spoiler will begin to perform as intended, opening at 60 MPH and retracting below that 60 mph threshold. Spend the $150 and it will cure your issues.
Good Luck....

Thanks! I've had it for about a year and have been enjoying all of the great information on the forum. My dad was a Chrysler engineer and used to bring the NA Crossfires home all the time and my brother and I used to have a ball driving them around back when they were being produced. He also had an SLK230 prior to the Crossfires. I met up with Rob from Needswings (super nice guy) and he installed the DCAI, oil-catch can, Supercharger pulley upgrade with the pully saver kit, and added the Eurotune as well. He also may have saved me from an accident waiting to happen by pointing out how brittle my tires were (they were the original Continentals and looked ok visually, but you could literally pick away pieces of tread with your fingers), which led me to get them replaced. The guy I bought it from had it stored in a pole barn up on a lift and obviously didn't drive it much given the mileage so it's in very nice shape overall. I've put around 3,500 miles on it since I picked it up. Unfortunately the back window fell out about a month ago on a blazing hot day and it's on my to-do list to try and fix with the 3M window weld & primer, but with all the recent rain here in MI I haven't been driving it as much I would like to.

This one contains extensive photos of the underside of the SRT6, which does not match the body shine. The underside photos show a lot of, dirt, rust and water stains. The front body pan looks like it has not been washed since new.
Just wonder if they did a body and interior detailing and let the underside dirty, very inconsistent, I would never attached those underside photos.
Thanks for another find.....

.
Look carefully at all the headlight pictures, does it look like a semi-straight water level mark in the headlights? Also, agree with Dennis on at least the whole undercarriage. Let a buyer beware!
.
.
I reviewed and enlarged the photos once again and found to many contradictions of the under carriage vs. the body. There is more rust found at the front end suspension, with the springs, sway bar, shocks covered in rust. Just wondering if this SRT6 was located near the Texas Gulf (sea water/salt damage) during a flood scenario or multiple heavy rains. Is this a former flood car? A former branded title car? I haven't seen to many Crossfires with 19,000 miles with this much rust, even in the Northeast rust belt!
Since the dealer had this on a lift, it should have been clear there are issues with this SRT6, NOT worth the $25,900!
Just my 2 cents....

You're right, it's a shame this SRT6 has landed on this lot. The real expense will be the repair of the rear quarter panel, if it is repaired. The damage was extensive, front to back and unknown/hidden damage below the skin. It's too bad, since it has under 40K miles on the ODO.
Thanks for another find....

This SRT6 Coupe appears to be in great condition with the low miles. It's nice to see the asking prices increasing on our models.
Thanks for another new great find.

It's amazing how all of these low mileage SRT6's are appearing on the sales sites, must be driven by the increase in pricing. I guess it's time to sell and make a profit.

This dealer better adjust the pricing higher to meet current pricing on the SRT6 models.
