I welded them to the car, once I removed the rear suspension. The front right corner was wiped out bad on this car, and it couldn't roll on it's own. Honestly, the casters couldn't quite handle the weight, and were deformed, and not worth the effort to recover. They did roll. We pushed/pulled the car up the ramps, onto the trailer. The left rear one got bent when the forklift came in, and actually pushed the car down on the trailer, before picking it up.

Yeah, they never take good care of 'scrap' when it gets to them. Glad they were unserviceable! They served you well...

Harbor Freight! Think I lost on the order of $60 when those went out the door, but they did what I needed them to do for the year and a half that car was collecting dust in my shop.

USED CAR PRICES ARE UP 45%! As to the pricing issues, everyone must be alert to the changes in pricing that may change quickly. We've been so accustom to the lower prices our cars have experienced over the past several years. One set Price can not be used for all crossfires models, you must delve deeper into the history of a car and look at the variants, such as number of owners, mileage, maintenance records, etc. As an example a one owner cars vs. a 5 owner car, will it be maintained the same, I doubt it, so the pricing must be different! A premium price can be justified for am original owner, low mileage, garaged car in pristine condition.
Click on the link below, the pictures tell two different stories, body looks great with low miles, but look at the photos of the undercarriage, it has a lot of RUST and dirt. Now the questions begin, was this car in a flood? Did this car sit outside over the years? Was it detailed, paint and interior? The pictures tell a conflicted story, but the price is based upon the SHINE & Mileage.
That undercarriage is definitely telling another story of that cars past. Some of those parts look like they’ve sat in water or similar substance for a prolonged amount of time to have that much rust on them. Especially with how low those miles are something doesn’t quite feel right about this car. Even if it was in normal wearing shape that’s still pretty high for a coupe. I’m a coupe guy and prefer it to the roadsters but the SRT roadsters are the ones that are fetching the highest premium and will more than likely continue in that trend. If only the XF was made as a hardtop convertible, all would’ve been right in the world and I wouldn’t be in constant flux of wanting to buy a SL 55/63 or SLK 55 AMG when I see them for sale.

Let's return to 2005 and review the pricing of an MB SLK32 for the 2004 (R170, last year of production) vs. the 2005 Crossfire SRT6 Roadster (R170/193). The SLK32 (retractable roof) listed for $61K+, while the 2005 Crossfire SRT6 Roadster was listed at $49,995 with a soft top. That's a $11K bump in price for a folding metal top.
I doubt that many Crossfire owners would have shelled out that much extra for that roof. The buyers rebelled against the actual pricing when the SRT6's were new, since Chrysler priced the Crossfire and SRT6's out of reach of Chrysler owners, but cheaper than the MB SLK32's.

In case you are logging such things... #654 on the list: 1C3AN79N65X042236 has been involved in an accident and is for sale on the bay listed as "no reported accidents".

The EBAY ad is a real contrast, from the header, of no accidents and low miles to the issues with the ODO, dating back to 2016. It's amazing how these cars really shine when the paint is detailed, considering it's 17 years old from the manufacturing date of August 2004. The unseen damage may include suspension, support to the fender are, windshield washer fluid container, bumper cover, hood alignment issues and other unseen component damage.
The seller is looking for a wire transfer or cash, could this be a scam? There was a mention in the report of a possible branded title, but no proof. I will not flip it to a branded title car until proof is obtained.
Buyer beware on this one..... Dennis

I find it amazing how many low mileage SRT6's are emerging from the "weeds" where the owners didn't participate on the forum and register their cars into the VIN database. There's another low miles (Less than 2000) in Iowa at a dealer looking for $34K.
Thanks for the update.... Dennis

Who ever said you had to be smart or even close to it to be a car salesman? A good liar is preferable any day.
My wife worked in that business for many years and she figured at least half the salesmen suffered some form of handicap. Many of them knew nothing about any particular car model and just read the brochure on it when you asked about it.
The car salesman’s job is going the way of the Dodo, you’ve looked at the cars and know what you want when you enter the sales room doors, how hard can it be to sell you the car you want? It is just about how much it costs and if the price is non negotiable you’ll know already. Finance it over the internet and the car is yours. No overheads for floor space, no salesman or sales managers commission.
In a few years Amazon and others will have them on sale and delivered to your house the next day, hopefully not in a bloody big box left on your door step.😉 You can do it these days but not as smoothly as it will be.
Ding Dong, Amazon calling.
