Default Exhaust Mod help for a newb

Hey everyone I currently have an Aero Blue SRT6 and ive loved all 9 months of having her!
Buut I think its time to finally start some Modding. Ive always wanted to do an exhaust mod but im hesitant because i dont want to mess up the sound or make it sound cheap.
Im going for a nice low growl noise(Muscle sounding but still clean) Ive been looking, and it seems Borla, Magnaflow, or Meagan Racing Exhaust is the way to go without the Resonator, with some Catbacks.
This is the type sound im going for.

I know i sound stupid and needy, but hey i guess we all did at first.
So if anyone could show me some links or give some advice it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

http://mufflers this will take you to google search. I also typed in mufflers in search of the forum that took me to all the threads about mufflers. I've been looking to do my system also. I was also debating about gutting my muffler or removing my rear cats but found out that is illegal in Texas.

The one in the video is a bit too quiet for my taste. Removing the cat is illegal in all the states, however it is really only enforced in Cali.. the box shaped assembly right before the muffler.. is that another muffler or is it a resonator? I didn't know Megan makes an exhaust for the SRT? I'm also curious to see a dyno of the Magnaflow to see if it's worth buying, if it doesn't add horsepower I'll stick to the stock piping with a different muffler and potentially removing the 'box' after I find out how it sounds with just an aftermarket muffler or straight pipes.

Do a search for 'resonator removal' which is probably the most common SRT6 exhaust mod. From what I gather the existing AMG system is pretty well designed, and there's not much improvement to be had by fitting an aftermarket system

Violators face up to a $25,000.00 fine in Texas.

That is why you remove your cats and then have the exhaust shop weld up the cat covers where they belong on the exhaust

The wider portion in the middle is the catalytic converter cover. You can have a straight pipe underneath and then have an exhaust shop weld the cover back on (not sure if our cars come with covers but you can just buy them online or the exhaust shop might have them). This way nobody will be able to tell that you're running catless. Plenty of people do that and get away with it when getting inspected even in Cali.

Okay, that why it was confusing as I didn't see a cat cover only catalytic converter. However, removing the rear cats is not worth a $25,000 fine if caught.

Removing the resenator makes for a good sound, ive got mine out and im thinking about removing the secondary cats as well and putting in a Xpipe where the Hpipe is. Gonna wait on the smaller pulley before that, but resenator removal is a good start. the other srt has just rear cat removal and i dont think its enough, nice little growl though
