This forum is dead!
I love this car, I'm trying to see if I can afford it. When will it really hit dealerships and be avaliable?
Do you think the aftermarket will respond? Will there be lots of parts avaliable?
I'm hoping this forum will become really active, the Srt6 section seems virutally dead

Don't expect the aftermarket to respond like it would for a new Civic. Sales on this car (standard, limited, and SRT6) are very sluggish. DCX has at least a 5 month back log of Crossfires at the moment that just aren't selling like they had hoped.
There are a number of factors contributing to these low sales, but they all lead to fewer cars being on the road. Aftermarket companies know this and are therefore unwilling to mass produce your average bolt-on parts. It wouldn't be cost effective for them to tool up and produce something that probably won't sell very well anyway.
Sure you can get some engine work done. Yes, you can build the stock 3.2L into quite a performer...but you're going to pay hand over fist for it.
Take a look at the second generation Stratus. It has been out since 2001. I'd say the only reason there is any kind of aftermarket for it is because it shares a platform with the third gen. Eclipse. There are quite a few more Stratus R/T's on the road than Crossfires, yet we've been pushing on 2gstratus.org for 3 years now for a simple catback exhaust.
I don't think that there will ever be "lots" of Crossfire-specific parts available. The engine mods available now exist due to the fact that we're sharing SLK parts. Borla has said they're working on a catback exhaust, but who knows when that will ever come to fruition.
Also, the Crossfire has only been around since what? 2004? That means this forum is still in its infancy. You don't build a huge member base overnight. By this time next year I bet you'll see quite a few more active members, though.
