I'm guessing this 12.4V from the above post is a different voltage than the one that snazzy little cigarette lighter monitor you pointed us to should be giving out.
I got the cig lighter unit on Monday and plugged her in for the first time and she's reading 12.4V with only the ignition on - no engine.
I dont know how old my battery is tho - I only bought the vehicle 8months ago.

The reading with the engine off and doors / lights closed is best. 12.4 is ok 12.6 is better, 12.0 is an accident waiting to happen, not start......Woody
Mine came yesterday and it has a RED display not BLUE as described
