Default CPS Shutting Down Car at High RPM's??

Chris(LateModel) and I were testing my car out after the pulley saver kit install and the car would automatically go into limp mode once we floored the car. I had a brand new CPS installed last week. Never had this happen before, but I have noticed since I got it the car would hesitate at high RPM's but ever went into limp mode.

Anyways, the code came back as a 0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit A

Im thinking its a faulty CPS? Any thoughts?

I installed a new CPS (advance auto) and my engine TURNED OFF at 4000 rpm under full throttle. I took it off and put a Bosch in and that fixed that. The connector is finicky and if it's not connected perfectly it seems to give problems. I'd disconnect it and reconnect it before doing anything else, if you have a Bosch CPS.

Yup, talked with Chris about this last night as well. Definitely the CPS. When it comes to sensors on these cars, they need to be Bosch or they will give you issues.

Take care

They are the same for both cars. The Mercedes Benz P/N is A 003 153 95 28 and the Bosch P/N is 0 261 210 170.

Take care
