Pricing my black SRT
My wife has “helped” me come to the conclusion that I need to sell some of my toys…Something about they are not practical, not big enough for the family, storage, etc…
Well with that said I may want to sell my SRT-6 Crossfire, but looking at some of the selling prices I’m not sure if I want to do that. There is no other car with similar specs in that price range, (Nissan GTR is out of the question) and especially one that sits more than 2..
I have read many posting, research ebay, checked KBB, NADA, etc . But still have doubts of what my car is really worth. Many of you follow prices and check auctions, so I’m asking for your expertise. How much can I ask for my car and what is the better way to sell it (ebay, forum, etc)?
Details:
2005 SRT-6 Black with navigation
38,307 miles. Summer only car, stored during winter
Chrysler’s maxi-care warranty transferable and valid until 05/2014 or 80,000 miles
Mopar accessories:
Slush mats p/n 82209269AB
Cargo cover p/n 82208889 new in box, never installed
Rear accent bumper panels (smooth finish, painted to match) p/n 82209208
Chrysler/marketing accessories:
Cigar humidor, new in box
Salt and pepper shakers, new in box
Crossfire luggage set, new in box
Other:
Brochures, marketing info/promotional, service manuals, etc I have collected over the years.
Transmission dipstick (miller tool) new in box.
No accidents and never raced.
Thank you for the help!

Check the market for similar mileage cars at
Used Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 For Sale Gainesville, VA - CarGurus
Accessories can also be sold here on the forum
Personally, I would sell everything else before I sold my srt6.

What is the last actual selling price any of you has for an SRT? Dealer? Private party?
Our cars are in that transition phase. They still pop up on lots, which gives us a credible baseline. Soon there will only be private party sales, and then it gets interesting.
You are marketing your car as a show car, and that puts you in uncharted territory. FWIW I bought my roadster with 65K on the clock for $15K from a dealer more than a year ago in very good daily driver condition, and I don't think prices have gone up from there.
Edit: P.S. concur with the comment sell the accessories separately.

So is the choice SRT or Wife? Hmm, let's add up the points:
SRT
Will never cheat on you
Responds to your slightest touch
Does not argue with you
Does not tell you you're wrong
Much less expensive
Never has a headache
Wife
Sex, assuming you haven't been married for very many years...
I gotta say, keep the SRT and sell the wife....

Used Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6s at carmax.com
16k-20k, you'll probably not do as well with a private sale. Sadly for you but good for me, these didn't hold value...at all.

I value mine at 30k each. I can sell mine tomorrow but I won't. I paid $4000 for my $100,000 Sunbeam Tiger in 1986. There is no true value on an SRT6 Crossfire. My SE is worth more. I'll keep mine for 30 years. You should too.
Wife didn't make that decision. You can blame it on her, but no wife tells a man to sell his toys. Well, let me back up. No wife does that and stays married for long. My wife doesn't touch the toys. She just hides the check book. Unfortunately for you the prices don't seem to be holding up well for coupes. $15k tops. Humidor would bring some big bucks. Luggage under a $100. S/P shakers $20. I think you mean diffusers not bumper covers. Those would bring some big bucks. Good luck. The last blk coupe I bid on at $12k brought $12k. I am no longer interested in a 3rd. Good luck. I hope you get a lot more.

I bought my SSB coupe with Nav and 17,500 miles for $15,800 in March 2011. My guess on your black coupe with 38,000 miles and now 2 years older is maybe $12 - $14K depending upon if you find an interested buyer who knows the SRT6.
Sadly, this car gets no love from other car enthusiasts. You wouldn't believe the crap I take on the S2000 forum because I own one of these bassturd step children of Daimler Chrysler. They crap on the looks and cite Jeremy Clarkson's pronouncement that the rear end looks like a dog taking a dump. They crap on the automatic-only transmission. They point to the low sales volume. They crap on the R170 platform with its recirculating ball steering. But none of them has ever owned or even driven an SRT6. Personally, I like my SRT6 as much as my S2000 but for different reasons.

Hmm, i think those saying $18-20k are way off base (IMHO). I had my coupe up for sale last year at $15500, with 34000 miles and did not get one serious offer, and what made it worse , is that i got one total time waster.I would think closer to $13500, as if you look at the deals people have done recently, some sold for somewhere around the 12k mark ...............not good news, but it depends how serious you are to sell
I have to know where you come up with $30k. Do you have like two or three of them?
I have 4 Crossfires. . I just paid the blue coupe off with my income tax refund. No stocks or lotto. I live on my own labor. I set the value of my machines. Ergo, SRT6 $30,000. You set the value of yours.
The cash values of my machines are mutually agreed on by me and Hagerty. The real cash value is what you can insure total loss for. Mine are insured at my value.
Not an issue. I have it for the liability insurance included. My cars are not garage queens.
A little lesson from an old guy. Over on the Imperial Club forum we have had this WIW discussion a hundred thousand times. The model having been out of production since 1993, there are no dealer sales and very, very few private party sales from now until the end of time. This is what we came up with:
1. On any given day, the car is worth what a seller and a buyer can agree on.
2. Nobody except a buyer can tell you what your car is worth on the open market. Anything else is just a guess.
3. This is the worst part -- just because Bill paid Bob $20K for a similar car does not mean Joe will pay you the same for yours.
Sorry if that does not give you the info you want, but it does tell you where NOT to look when estimating value. Those recent transactions mentioned in the replies involving actual buyers and sellers are your best guide.
