Default Hit the track today in my "new to me" SRT6

Well, I've owned the car for 2 months and finally got a chance to run it at the track today. The first run was a 7.65 @ 91.43. For you 1/4 miles guys, that's good for 11.8's. Not bad for it's Virgin run. I could have run faster had the car not been setup for nitrous (retarded timing and very narrow plug gaps).

The rest of the runs were slower on each subsequent pass due to a lack of decent track prep. This is to be expected, so I knew the first run was the most critical. The other runs were 7.72, 7.75, 7.76. and then a terrible 7.9 where I got a little sideways at the tree. Sixty foots were 1.70 on the first run, and 1.77, 1.81, 1.75, and 1.92 on the others.

Bill and Erin were there also in their SRT6's. Both are forum members, but they don't post that often.
Bill's running a 185 pulley, SL55 pump, custom DCAI, and tune. Erin is stock except for a custom CAI, but has a bunch of mods on a shelf at his house.

I almost forgot to mention, 3 of my 5 reaction times were pretty low (-.02, .04, .08, and .07). The fifth slip was a .2.

My Current Mods:

- Eurocharged 61.9MM pulley
- SL55 Fuel Pump
- Buckhead Imports Tune
- TTM Looped fuel rail with crossover
- Stock Heat Exchanger
- OEM Intercooler Pump
- Hoosiers - 255/50-16's on lightweight CLK wheels
- Nitrous is installed, but wasn't used

I did a quick 0-60mph run on the drive home and got a 4 flat. Not bad for rolling into the throttle.

Not bad? How about great! I've been waiting to see what a babied car could do under your foot. Congrats!

I just did another zero to sixty on the street and got a 3.87. I still had to roll into the throttle, but I got a little more aggressive with it.

Thanks, Les - it's getting there. Hopefully with a little laughing gas I'll see some 7.2's or 7.3's.

They increased around 50F and ended up at 140F when I crossed the 1/8th. With the old car they increased by about 48F with a larger HE and pump, at the same track, with almost identical ET/MPH. The answer is, they don't seem out of line.

I really need to compare ending AIT's with ambient on both the old and new car to decide if the cooling mods do anything. My point is, my data shows that the increase in AIT's in the 1/8th are pretty much the same. However, if one setup has me starting the run at a consistently lower temp (versus ambient), then the cooling mods might prove to be worthwhile.

I'll have to look into it.

Nope, it's a canned file, but one that was created on the dyno with a similarly equipped SRT6. I plan to drive down in the next month or two to have it revised on their dyno.
