Starter Ignition Issue?? Need Some Help...
Has anyone had to replace their starter? I was searching through some of the older threads for some answers.
My car clicks over one time. Battery is less then a year old. Still have power in the car.
Could it be the solenoid or actual starter? Is the starter like the CPS issue where u can basically stick to one brand or the car wont work properly?
Thanks.

Before you go any farther, make sure it is not the battery. It can have enough to power the lights, etc, they don't require much, but not enough amps to crank the car. Take it to AutoZone or equivalent and check it. then start checking the connections. Do the cheap stuff first.
When my battery went.. I got 1 "click" whenever I hit the key. Several attempts to start and only 1 click per attempt.
Being an automatic, I figure it was the "auto start" relay engaging.

I took the battery down to autozone and they said one of the cells was dead so they replaced it. Looks like my battery cables are good. I put it in the car and im still getting a one click sound everytime i turn the ignition.
Can I get a solenoid from autozone or do i need a bosch part?

Being one who looks for answers that don't include coincidence (ie your battery AND your solenoid failing at the same time), I would make sure that your new Autozone battery has a FULL charge before buying any other parts.
Chris
