Default Brake Pad recomendation please

A few years ago, I "upgraded" to some Akebono pads. They stop great and have very little dust, however they squeal like a pig when stopping in reverse only. I've tried anti-squeal compond, swapping rotors, and even got a new set from Akebono and it's always the same. I'm really sick of sounding like I don't care for my car while backing, so I'm going to try a new brand of pads.

So, what do you recommend for a low dust, noise free, brake pad that is not absurdly priced?

My Akebono pads squealed when I got the car, I took them off, wire brushed the backs, cleaned off the rust on the supports, put brake anti squeal grease on the piston contact area, brake grease on the supports. Reinstalled there was no squeal, job done without the cost of new pads.
Squeal is vibration due to insufficient pad support generally.

I've done that before with no change, but I guess I'll try one more time... Thanks for the reply!

I was all set to swap them out, but I had trouble getting the pads I wanted so I fixed them. I picked up the car in Florida and had 1,400 miles of squealing on the way home. They also appeared harsh, once fixed they were sweet and quiet, and stopped the car no trouble. Mine have no anti squeal gasket or whatever they call it, metal to metal.

The weird part is that mine ONLY squeal in reverse. The OEM pads did not do this.

Rotex Gold is the finest Kevlar metallic pad to date.
It offers excellent stopping power, combining top-rated performance with a long service life.
The friction material blends Kevlar with metallic soft steel wire and powdered sponge iron for maximum heat transfer, and silver virgin graphite for smooth quiet performance.
This 60% metallic blend reduces vibration which causes squeal, and runs virtually dust free eliminating the common problem of "black dust" on the wheels.
Perfect for drilled or slotted rotors.

Thanks for the suggestion OneHundred. Although I've done the: remove, clean, lube and anti-squeal before without helping... this time it worked! I did also incorporate another suggestion I got: I filled the pistons with silicone before reinstalling the pads. I also put a small squirt on the back of the pads instead of anti-squeal. One note, I only had to do the rears as the front's were not making any noise. So far 3-days and not a peep! Let's hope it stays this way... and the whole job was free.

It appears that Rotex Gold pads are made in Canada. See the thread attached and follow the link to the SRT forum.
