14K is too much, I personally wouldn't buy a vehicle with salvage title if i wasn't saving me at least 60% of its value. Go to any auto auction, here for example and compare the prices. And btw don't buy a salvage title car if you don't think you will keep it for long, cause it is hard to find someone willing to buy a car when you decide to resell it.
