Default Ways to beef your horsepower and general performance.

So if you recognize my name you know i just got my hands on this bad boy. Its aero blue BONE STOCK and 60,000 miles. Got it at a steal so i jumped on it over a limited with 56,000. Point being ive been researching how to get the best out of this beast short of a V8 swap or NoS. Nothing against it, but to me thats not what your engine can do its what you can forde into to make it use short term. YES, ive been searching the forums and other websites but it gets a bit hard looking for specifics. Any contributions would help because it would be amazing to have all of this in one spot.

So far i have just the basics on the list. not in any order its a tune up from eurocharge (im a actually going to their dinner on the 24 or 26 or whenever in houston, its in my calendar and since its cheap and free to redo im doing it now) swap your pulleys. Any specifica? Some just say shorter pulleys some say aluminum pulleys what would yall suggest? A CAI/DCAI. Id like to run a DCAI because long term i wont regret it. Someone mentioned needwings wont fit you have to "modify" it? Could anyone elborate or suggest a brand that WILL fit. An intercooler swap was also mentioned, coildnt find any brands or reasons besides its good to have. I know theres more im just drawing out a blank so any and all tips would be greatly appreciated. I plan on taking her out to the track soon so i want to be able to upgrade her and show people that they shouldnt under estimate a v8

PS. Im not against eventually running a Wet NoS system id just rather do that very last

The dual does not require you to remove your grille. There are some plastic support pieces that have to be removed in order to bring the tubes thru. Doesn't hurt anything. I have ran dual CAI on both my cars for years now. My take on performance parts for the SRT6 are very simple. Dual CAI, a pulley of your choice, a separation kit, a catch can, a pulley saver kit, and lastly, the TUNE. I am never in favor of continually retuning the car. Get your mods on there, and lastly, tune it. DRIVE and ENJOY. I have tuned the roadster twice and the coupe once....luckily they are where I wanted them. That doesn't always happen. If you are going to continually launch the car, I would buy the wavetrac for the rear end. Now your car is a 12 second quarter mile car all day long. Maybe a little faster depending on altitude. It isn't too radical you can't enjoy it, and drive it anywhere, but fast enough to stay with about anything. There are a few more things you can do, but now you would have to monitor the motor and the air and fuel to be safe. Good luck....
If it is an N/A, then a single CAI, larger throttle body, and a tune will perk it up.

The duel requires removing the grill but the single cold air intake will fit without modification.

yes you must remove the grill to install either of our kits, the grill does go right back on once you install the intake though. I am not sure where the above statement is coming from. Our system was designed specifically for the crossfire, not some generic pieces thrown together.

as for the other parts for your car, please take a look at our catalogue and email me with any questions you may have. thanks, rob

btw, our stage1 kit is our first recommended bang for the buck mods for a reason.

For power go for the big 3. Pulley, tune, intake. As for which ones, I suggest a 178 pulley unless you want to mess with fuel and the dcai so you don't question your choice later.

Peace of mind mods are catch can, ic seperation kit, and wide band. Some think wide band is too expensive, but if your gonna pay to play u need to be able to see what's happening. Whenever I mod a car a wideband is first, but that's just my opinion.

Last but not least swap the intercooler.

As for brand? Needswings all the way!
